it's hosted on cloudflare so if it goes down i can't really do much

PDSls CAR explorer with the Export ZIP button highlighted
CAR tools are now merged into one flow, then you will be shown the explorer, with a button to export to ZIP
PDSls jetstream page with the new form showing an input that inputs tags and a datetime picker element next to the cursor input
improved the relay forms on @pds.ls:
- textarea replaced with "tag" inputs
- cursor input now has a datetime picker helper
new PDSls backlinks page
you can now directly link to a group: pds.ls/at://did:plc...
if you want to keep the sailor moon cursor, it can be enabled by visiting this link pds.ls?sailor=true
and then disabled by replacing true with false pds.ls?sailor=false
i will disable it globally soon, but you can enable it permanently by adding ?sailor=true to the URL
navigation is now properly cached between pages, meaning you won’t lose scrolling position exploring a repository or PDS
this also reduces unnecessary data fetching (you will see less loading going back and forth)
Today, CORS was defeated.
the app has its own proxy as a fallback, errors might still show up in the console log, but it should not get in the way of loading repositories
collection list with favicons to the left
Favicons are now fetched server side (but can fallback client side on /favicon.ico)
So you don't need to bug your favorite app to add it, and you should notice a lot more icons loading!
com.atproto.lexicon.schem with the atproto logo shown on the side in the collections list
cute little atproto logo if you publish lexicons :3
thanks @alex.bsky.team for adding it
a tile of buttony cards like search, my repo, jetstream, firehose, etc
i'm enjoying the new @pds.ls default view quite a bit. it's tricky to explain what the tool does *and* to provide shortcuts to the most common destinations, and this one does the job imo
coming from you it's very gratifying given how many times i saw you complain about it and feeling lost on how to tackle a better redesign 🥲
you just made me realize if we made a PDSls lexicon it would be named "ls.pds" now
hey @toni.bsky.team so you like PDSls?
yes if you login, and go to a collection page on your repo, you'll find a "manage button" which lets you select all the loaded records and delete them
im aware it's a possibility, but i dont know any proxy i'd trust and i don't wish to host one myself
Experimenting with some more advanced Open Graph support for embeds
For example, linking records will show a preview in an image
If you notice any issues or have suggestions, hit me up!
always worth reminding people who use did:web or use HTTP method to verify their handles
PDSls is client side only, so it can't get around it without a proxy (which i want to avoid)
it is CORS
on a tangled issue: pds.ls: "added" knotbin.com: "wow you're fast"
i have a reputation to uphold...
oh this is cool! you can download cars directly on pdsls?
too late i bought into peer pressure
ig "download" would be more straightforward than "export"
the alternative is cluttering the interface with a bunch of buttons everywhere that will overwhelm 99% of the users for the benefit of the 1% that needs those niche features
chat
there is a single dropdown menu in the entire repo page
has nobody ever opened it? 😭
given it’s a did:web it might be a CORS issue (i’ll check once im back home)
PDSls is entirely client-side and does not use a CORS proxy so some DNS lookups fail when a certain header is missing
oh yea in case it's not obvious the key uses UTC timezone but the timestamp shown on the page is local time, hence the difference between them in the screenshot
PLC log timestamps are now clickable so you can directly link to them
pds.ls/at://did:plc...
