Can confirm ProtonDB is great. Most games work out of the box, most of the rest with minimal tweaking ; ProtonDB will tell you what to do.

Only games you'll have problems with are giant multiplayer games with kernel-level anti-cheat like GTA Online or Valorant but I don't play those games anyway
