The club would of been criticised either way. We are having no luck with the gambles we take. We need something to come off & give us a bit of a spark

Catch 22. If we put a clause in to return imjured player then we probably would of fronted the cost of the loan while injured when he arrived. Gamble thats back fired

Should of snatched the win there. Same issues. Lack of quality in the final third

Till that takeover is signed sealed & delivered then survival is the height of our ambition. Once the takeover is completed the PSR noose around our necks will loosen & actually allow us to compete instead of being slowly suffocated by the EPL

Its all opinions but sometimes people over simplify issues. We have been forced to stand still due to PSR. If you’re standing still, you’re regressing. We have no means to improve things. Of course SD could be braver in certain games but if we stay up thats all that matters. Huge summer ahead

Bit of an exaggeration. Unfortunately our aim is too stay up. If he keeps us up then job done. New owners, new stadium, new manager with hopefully the potential to actually improve the squad with genuine quality

Its not “he” its “we” live by. Thats the position we are in. Maintaining PL survival. Nothing more nothing less. If you are in the bottom 3 for net spend regularly guess where you will end up eventually?

Hes partly responsible but he has very little means to change things from subs or buying players. Our midfield & forward line is poor in the attacking sense. How often do you see our CM give cheap possession away?
If you play attacking football with our MF we will have a lot more worse days

If you can’t buy quality & technical players then you will struggle. We can’t score goals & don’t create enough. We don’t have the money to improve that area. If we do find a player like an Onana they will quickly be moved on to balance the books. Back at square 1. Everything rests on the takeover

Everyone wants better for our club but we dont have the £ to do better. We have been hampered by PSR which has literally killed us. Essentially we are in survival mode till next season.

The argument has been we can’t afford to sack him till the takeover is completed. Thats the reality we face. Everyone agrees SD is not the way forward but he was brought in to keep us up & he’s done that. IMO SD will see his contract out barring disaster.

Mostly down to lack of money

For that to happen the structure needs to be there. We dont have a functioning board. AWOL owner. PSR restrictions. A manager that can work within DOF framework.
With new ownership & management then KT can begin to do his job properly without all these restrictions

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

But thats down to the structure rather than KT. If the manager continually over rules his judgement then the issues lays with the manager. KT has been harshly judged IMO. He’s worked under extremely difficult circumstances & has identified talent for what ever reason haven’t been able to sign.

The issue isn’t KT but the structure. Replacing KT with another DOF isn’t going to solve it. We’ve seen this with Walsh, Brands now Thelwell. We need a manager who can work within the DOF framework or scrap the DOF role, which in todays game is not the way forward.

A few owed performances from certain players last night. Crucial win. Good to see Broja, looked lively & created 2 good chances. Hopefully get him fully fit for the remainder of the season & gets us enough goals to be mid table mediocrity

Hopefully new ownership- new beginnings

Ye just realised it was you who wrote it 🙈😂
Totally agree with everything you said. As fans we need to play our role. Not call for the managers/ DOF head at the 1st sign of trouble. Nothing will be achieved if your changing every 18 months like we have recently

Sadly football has totally changed & as fans we need to change. We need to stop living in the past & create a new Everton.

IMO the owner takes the blame. Hes the 1 who signed the checks, done the hiring & firing. Got involved when not needed. Created chaos with no plan. Just all reactionary to fans feelings

There has been a financial squeeze on us. We have to sell our better players & replace them with lesser quality. Its been a slow & painful decline. We dont score enough goals so stats like coming from behind to win are more evident

Thats been an issue for years not just a Dyche issue

I think we will do better than expected from our December fixtures. Hopefully December will be our turning point. Bit of form, new ownership, new direction

Hard to be positive. Simply wasn’t good enough. Majority of that team have fought relegation battles & this year will be no exception. Case of biting our lips & dragging that shite across the line again.

Agree its the reality of modern football but to say Brighton is very well ran is a bit disingenuous IMO. Walking a fine line. Couple bad season/ bad buys then it will look totally different. That just doesn’t apply to Brighton but virtually every club

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Player trading is very much a gamble. You might sell your star player for £100’s m but there’s no guarantee that the investment will be successful. Credit to Brighton they understand their market & have been successful. Be interesting to see if they push the boat out for players

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

In its basic form that the amount of investment needed to allow for recruitment is unsustainable. In a very generic way its not well ran. Fans need to understand that the vast amount of clubs are not well ran due to player wages. Clubs are reliant on owners to cover the shortfall.

Interesting to see Brighton stats in this for a “very well” ran club
