What a show 👏 In around 1996 I spied a review in Q magazine of Marianne Faithful’s Weimar shows. This led me in turn to Ute Lemper. The albums by Marianne and Ute helped me through some of the darkest days growing up. I was never a ‘normal’ teen but I adored my music. Tonight was a dream come true.

Off out to spend an evening in the Weimar Republic to hear Ute Temper sing about inter war debauchery 😏

But the pièce de résistance if of course the chapel of King’s College. The largest fan vault roof in the world. It’s so old that the quiet screen was built to celebrate the wedding of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. You can see their initials in a lovers knot in the carving.
