At the age of 28, as a copper, when I found a missing 5 year old boy, I scooped up and held on to him in my arms as tightly as I would my 5 year old now at the age of 48 and absolutely nothing was/is going to harm that child or my child now.

I love the fact that @signal.org has @bsky.app listed first and X last on their list of Social Media links.

For what it's worth, unless Starmer decides he's had enough, I don't see any avenue for Starmer to be replaced any time soon.

My biggest takeaway from the ongoings of the last 24 hours is that the fact that Mandelson associated with Epstein, a convicted pedophile was really not relevant at all and had no bearing on the DV decision.

Just goes to show how we care more about security/finance than victims of sex trafficking.

I agree, local elections should be about local elections but they have, unfortunately, become a “mid-term”, if you excuse the Americanism for the party in charge.

They also use PR rather than FPTP, which shows the true thickness of our country with the likes of Reform expected to do well.

He’s not getting ousted. Labour backbenchers will be annoyed but still not stupid enough to do a leadership challenge just before local elections.

Labour will be massively punished during local elections. Anything better than a total wipeout, Starmer is good.

'Allies, not vassals': How Meloni's break with Trump became a political moment for Italy Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is managing the repercussions of a public rebuke from US President Donald Trump this week over the pope, Iran and a defence deal with Israel. It's a rupture that…

The problem with the coordinated nationalist movement across the world is that eventually, they will have to be nationalist.

Let's not forget the thousands of volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and helped their communities with the vaccination programme.

I used to do 3 shifts a week to help out for over a year.

To be fair, the EES will allow us to use the eGates later on this year.

We will actually be able to use eGates later on this year.

You wouldn’t be saying that if your Apple Watch called the emergency services automatically after a serious accident. Like my friend’s watch did as he was laying unconscious in his car.

Went to it couple of years ago and felt squashed like sardines, horrible commentary with thick French accent and had no idea what was going on.

Hope you have a better time than I did.

Look, can we just call it the Strait of Trump and get on with our lives?

Not a chance.

They wouldn't dare stop the vessels of China or any other Middle East registered vessel.

What happens when a Chinese ship wants navigate through the strait of Hormuz?

A US warship going to have the balls to stop it?

I am officially old before I’m 50.

I walked around looking for my glasses, only to find them on my head.

US and UK are opposites of each other. We have a highly regulated and well behaved TV news, unlike the US, and the opposite in print media.

JD Vance due in Hungary to back Orban's re-election bid The US vice-president's visit is the latest show of White House support for the Hungarian leader.

Weren’t the Republicans mighty upset that some Labour volunteers went over to assist in Dem campaigns?

Now they are sending their VP to help support their ally?

Brexit voters: This is not the Brexit we voted for.
Trump voters: This is not the Trump we voted for.

What do both sets of voters have in common?

I agree. But right wing media are pushing for politically appointed high court judges here in the UK.
