I’m honestly not sure what you’re arguing here but the majority of Americans would say the Trump administration and republican control of congress has been extremely detrimental to their daily lives.
They currently control the Presidency, the House, and the Senate and it’s not because they are dumb. We write them off at our own peril.
Nah I don’t think so. The upside the GOP will get in running faster, leaner, more data-driven campaigns will outweigh any negatives. Social media has negative connotations too — imagine the Dem party eschewed that too?
I don’t think AI is driving policy making, but democrats need to be in the drivers seat when it comes to policies around AI. And we cannot do that if our reps and staffs aren’t even allowed to use it.

In Illinois, a bill called the RIFL Act would shift some of the financial burden of gun violence from victims and taxpayers back onto the industry that profits from the product. Think of it as workers’ comp, but for gun injuries and deaths.
We couldn’t possibly be in a worse information environment for what’s happening. Which is probably, in part, why it’s happening.
