DaVinci resolve is free and very detailed, but not too challenging to pick up. Windows comes with clipchamp which is super basic but works surprisingly well for quick edits.

Personally I never use the LG OS or really any smart tv OS since they're so much slower and laggier than a dedicated device. I got a Google TV streamer which is imo the best option if you're not an apple user. The Nvidia shield is also a great choice.
