WOAH. Reprehensible that they posted such a long wait time.

Won’t let us get them here in DC…

These are INCREDIBLE posts. Thank you for keeping Theme Entertainment Bluesky alive with this trip report/journalism. Definitely want to go… but man, Blumhouse’s section is the worst possible area to have a sit-down. It feels like a DOWNGRADE or a punishment to eat there. Great M3GAN cocktail tho.

Oh my god, he’s STUNNING. So much heart and care clearly taken.

I feel like this would be better at Springs where people are inclined to enjoy entertainment. I get that the theme of the show is generic in order to let it perform in various hotels, but it would be really nice to have had some theme-specific shows. Davey Crockett “exploring” the grounds, maybe?

Hm, I love this, but also. A little frustrated that they’re making things that could obviously be part of MagicBand+ into new purchases (like that big honking key).

That’s too bad, every concept art has them flying, and the float is nearly exactly a replica of the Tokyo one.

As someone trying to be spoiler-lite… it looks like in images Peter and Wendy are grounded. Is that assumed to be part of the rain delay or just… something they couldn’t figure out how to copy from Tokyo safely?

Just did a quick check - they do not say veteran, but the DO say “our country” which may not be inclusive but is thematically appropriate so long as the land retains “U.S.A.” in the title.

Could they not have said “As a tribute to all those who have served our country?” For god’s sake, they say “veteran” in the flag retreat!

MagicBand+, I assume?

Maybe they should remove this statue and keep the plaque?

I recall that the room is meant to “bloom” throughout the meal, with the booths slowly turning and the lights changing and stuff, but when I was on the ship a long while ago it didn’t happen - am I misremembering or is this part of the restaurant?

Honestly, I really like it so far! I understand it has no substance, but it helps me finally understand why some adults like reading YA. I consume a lot of media awash in outrage and force myself to confront reality… and this show feels like a little treat.

This show is, to me, the only true competitor to Happily Ever After’s soundtrack and storyline. I personally think the pop versions of each song should be reserved for after the fireworks, allowing the shows to start with broadway-style or choral vocals. That’s the nostalgia the new shows miss.

Quite surprised that it looks like they, essentially, duplicated the “Magic Happens” floats and put lights on them and Peter’s float from Tokyo. I really hope the scale and pageantry of these floats is bigger and more dreamlike than, you know. Wholesale copying.

I can understand the theory of lightening the colors of the store to decrease the perception of claustrophobia during the after-fireworks crush, but I do think that you risk guests remembering they’re in the real world and thinking “this merch isn’t special, I’ll do it at the airport”.

There are some funny videos of people trying to do Tiana’s choreography online. I give it some slack when animated characters are being translated, especially Elsa, who does flailing motions in the movies. And the Na’vi Shaman is pretty good. But Imagineering rarely does true humans anymore.

It’s her subtle sway back and forth. Clearly there was time taken to study a human.

The last bastion of hope is that pricing does not change AS YOU BUY the tickets, and that it only does this, say, at 3 AM each day.

Yep! Got it in the mail, like, a week ago.

Can this be expected to return at Hollywood Studios, do you think? This is honestly my favorite part of the attraction, it’s peak Star Wars and feels like real peril.

I wonder if they’ll reuse this idea for the finale of the FanFest team where you see the Clock Tower…?

For me, store bought is fine so long as it faithfully blends into the story. Animal Kingdom would certainly not exist without outside materials. I guess the weird thing is that it’s in Italian, which I don’t think is anywhere else in New Orleans Square? So maybe this doesn’t support the story?

Excellent article. The team did a wonderful job, but some prop procurement folks made a huge mistake and they should have just admitted it. And I get that the bride was SCARY in a way that the Mansion was SPOOKY, but the idea that the change was not artistic and instead a mandate is concerning.
