Get in touch if you and your colleagues might be interested in one of the Advanced Scientific Writing Courses that Claudio and I have developed. Happy to provide example slide decks, feedback from previous participants and to discuss how we can better tailor a workshop to your needs!

Very sad news. I greatly enjoyed meeting and interacting with Peer back in my @Nature days (and still owe him a beer). My thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.

Just came across this blast from the past, our Science Snakes & Ladders Christmas card from a few years ago.
Drawn for us by the brilliant Samantha Whitham!
Worth a Friday share to brighten the post-holiday funk.
Do take a look at what we have grown @germinatescience.bsky.social and get in touch if you have a project that you think we might be able to help out with.
Or if you'd be interested to hear more about what it's like to do this kind of work. 6/6

It's super rewarding work and I'm pleased to have found a niche to use the experience and knowledge gained over my time at the bench and then riding a desk at Nature towers.

Of course, not all of those that we have provided support to have been successful in securing the funding sought, which sucks. But in numerous cases we've been able to help rework an application and get it funded elsewhere.
Even for more established researchers, this funding can be transformative and allow them to recruit and train future generations of scientists while getting to grips with some of the most interesting research questions and challenges facing humanity. 3/n
The bit that excites me most is the impact that these opportunities can have for the scientists themselves, especially early career researchers that we have helped to secure grants that enable them to become independent. 2/n
These last few years @germinatescience.bsky.social, we've had the pleasure of working with so many brilliant scientists. Supporting them to secure funding to undertake their ambitious and inspiring science has been a privilege. 1/n
So this is where you’ve all been hiding!
