I have been actively removing myself from Google’s ecosystem as much as I possibly can.
I started the job early last year but got overwhelmed with my 20+ year account history of Gmail and kind of gave up.
Well, I’m back at it and determined as hell to get it done.
It’s exhausting.
Planted my holy basil today. I’m planning to put 6 in the ground so I planted 12 cells. Which means I’m going to find a way to plant 12. Because tulsi.
I’m scaling my garden back significantly this year. I moved and simply don’t have as much room as I used to.
Even so, most of my seeds are started and I’m once again going to have extras.
I definitely understand why people would sell their extra plants. I’m just happier giving them away. 🌱
After 8+ months away, I think I’m finally ready to be back.
I’ve been busy working in my community and in my home, doing all I know to resist and build local resilience. And while I return rather battered, I remain steadfast.
I’m happy to be back, and I look forward to reconnecting with you all. 🖤

I decided to celebrate by giving away plants to my neighbors. Including some adorable lavender starts that the pollinators will love. 🐝

You’d think I’d learn my lesson and plant less, but no. I’ll do the exact same thing next year.

I don’t have enough room for all my seed starts. I’m a bit overwhelmed and still have 3 rounds of sowing to do. BUT…having a surplus means I’ll be able to gift some to neighbors. So while I don’t know what I’m going to do about it, I’m determined to figure it out.

Yes! I have it streaming on my TV, phone, computer, and iPad while I get some things done around the house. My son (whom I homeschool) decided he wanted to stream it as well, so he has it running on his phone while he works at his desk. Normally I wouldn’t allow YouTube during learning time, but…

They got their first feeding today at 1/4 strength (don’t want to burn them) and I’m super excited to see what impact it has.
Next batch of seeds will be planted next week.
