So bummed I can’t go this year!

on the 50th anniversary of the release of The Boys Are Back in Town I'm morally obligated to share my favorite story of all time
This was @williambwest.bsky.social's pinned tweet at the other place. See the last line? You know what to do, people!
It is with great sadness that the WIZARDS team must announce the passing of our dear friend and co-host, @williambwest.bsky.social this weekend. Will was a loving father, husband and devoted son, with many friends and fans who mourn along with his loved ones. He will never be forgotten.
Very sad news. Will and I didn't always see eye to eye, but he was a good man and more importantly a devoted family man. A talented guy, too. Sympathies to his many friends and his family. There is a GFM that goes straight to his wife and children: gofundme.com/f/support-for-thewest-family
Will’s old longtime profile pic, which was always a silly joy to see pop up. Gosh he may have been the first person I interacted with after a terrible event occurred in my family. https://westweekever.com is his blog. Check it out if you want.
William B. West had a love for pop culture that ran deeper than most, and fun opinions on all of it.
It is with great appreciation that I got to goof off with him online and once in person over the past 15 years.
It is a cruelty to lose him.
Love to those closest and hurting most.
Absolutely heartbroken to hear that @williambwest.bsky.social has passed away.
Everything I know about Centurions comes from this coloring book.
I’ve managed to resist all the Player 2 variants up to this point…
This hits home. My “to sell” pile is now just multiple boxes in a closet that I haven’t touched in years.
Leonardo in a cloak, dual-wielding Goldar’s blade from MMPR and the Sword of Omens from Thundercats.
This is why I love Ultimates figures.
Because it means I can do this:
Tiki castle grayskull
Still trying to figure out what to put in my newest tiki. I’m thinking adapting a Shrunken Skull, but swapping out grenadine for something else.
Or just tossing in a green glow cube and screaming I HAVE THE POWER!
A 6-inch sub roll with grill marks. Chocolate and creme drip from the sides, behind a halved Cadbury egg. In the right corner is an image of a foil-wrapped Cadbury Creme Egg
Subway Cadbury Creme Egg Submelt (2023-2023): A 6-inch sub roll, filled with Cadbury Creme Eggs and grill-pressed until toasty golden brown. Was available for free, for one day only, at 4 Subway locations in the UK, with only 500 subs available at each location.
This whole thing feels like someone did the math on what their warehouse storage was actually costing them.
Or they need to clear out space now for something coming in.
Udderly gargantuan. Like, Guerrilla Gorilla sized.
It also helps with sitting poses!
Jada Street Fighter, Nacelle Cowboys of Moo Mesa, NECA TMNT
This photo doesn’t do justice to how massive this figure is.
2 pounds, 3.5 ounces. Good. Lord.
I was not prepared for how absurdly massive Terrorbull is from Nacelle.
And he’s only $35.
TMNT X MTG Turtles in Time & Doubling Season
Whelp, don’t think I’ll get luckier than these two pulls. Also, Collector Boosters are a scam!
super7 glowing in the dark
This is an absurd amount of glow.
2¢ Amazon refund
Whoa, better not spend it all in one place!
Super7 TMNT Ultimates waves 1-6
TMNT Ultimates waves 7-11
For the first time, I was able to display waves 1 through 11 of my @officialsuper7.bsky.social #TMNT Ultimates on a single shelf.
Man, I adore this line.
(Not shown, all the GitD figures, troop builders and 2k3 stuff)
Growing up, my local card shop clearanced out packs of the 1996 Fleer Spider-Man cards for 25¢ a pack. I bought so many of them.
So I have such a weirdly obsessive knowledge of the finest Spider villains circa 1993-1994.
A good and hopeful update on our friend Will and his progression from his family. Let’s keep the love, prayers and hope going for our friend Will.
Super7 2k3 TMNT Shredder… crushed
Like crushed CRUSHED.
Whelp, good thing I open my figures.
Shredder looks like he got in a fight with a foot and lost.
Just-released photo of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from the live-action Moana
We’ve told all the casting agents that the Weird Al biopic sequel is currently on hold, but they just keep sending in headshots.
I only had Captain Power himself, but he was so shiny that he lead my misfit group of G.I. Joes.
Well, until my brother went through a firecracker phase.
Peter Laird’s inks of TMNT #2
I still can’t get over how collaborative the two were in the beginning. Both were doing pencils and inks ON THE SAME page. Issue 2 - this is what Laird inked. peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/blas...
To demonstrate what I'm talking about, here's some solo modern Kevin art, and some solo modern(ish?) Pete. You can really see in the new piece that distinct Laird structure paired with Kevin's graphical style and mark making, they really are Something SPECIAL together
