Always so proud of myself when I’m actually able to finish a whole footlong Subway sandwich in one sitting. 💪 See, I TOLD you guys I’m a real adult!

I think I like the mix of both. Which plants are present doesn’t matter much — my own gardens are a mess of wild flowers, herbs, and a few perennials I put in because they can basically take care of themselves 🤣 This room does look out into a garden so it might be cool to carry the theme inside?

I posted an example in one of these replies that is the general aesthetic I’ve been drawn to for the space — but whether it’s done using physical or digital paint is less important than how it looks on the wall and whether it came from a human, if that makes sense ☺️

Ugh for real, I’m glad the models themselves have no use for currency or we’d be hosed. 🫠

I think I’m missing some skill points in the ol’ visual department 😅 but what you’re describing sounds pretty cool! Do you have a website?

Some of the ones I’ve liked have had a nature-y background; some have been “watercolors” with only the subject. The main colors in the room are shades of brown, emerald green, black, and gold — so something based in that palette works (also, there are bookshelves with many colors on the spines)

Dang, that’s a good question, and one I’m not sure I’m equipped to answer at the moment 😅 So here’s an example of the type of art I keep being drawn to for the space.

Honestly, either. I’ve been really into a dark cottage core vibe for my dining room, and I’d love to throw some human-made art on the wall. I like the ability to search and browse Etsy, but I feel like there’s gotta be a better site to filter out all the AI.

Hello, and yes! I was thinking an owl.

Hey. I want to buy some art. And I want it to have been made by a real artist, not AI. Is that so hard to ask, #Etsy? Can we get a filter for that?

To be honest, I’m having a hard time getting through Dune. I’m kind of surprised by this. Convince me to keep reading?

I swear to god these kids have never heard what a “weekend” is, or “sleeping in,” or “don’t talk to me before 8 a.m. please”

Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler was SO worth the long wait on Libby. Interesting to see how she wrote the 2020s back in 1993 and how uncomfortably close some of these dystopian themes are to our current reality. (Can we start Earthseed yet?) #BookSky

I have never finished a book that made me say, “What the hell was that?!” then immediately consume the next two books, turn around and read the first book AGAIN —all in the span of the week — quite like the MaddAddam series by Margaret Atwood. #Booksky

I received an email today, addressing me as “Dr …” and stating that my work has influenced a topic related to an upcoming research project.

1. I did publish articles about the topic, but I was connecting others’ research to broader themes …

2. I do not have a Ph.D, but thanks for the ego boost!

Tbh, I wonder how many people are mad about their (intentional) LLM results because they used the wrong model for the task or used a bullshit prompt. It mirrors the user. To a certain degree, you have to understand what the tool is meant for and good at and how to wield it. You can also … ask it.

At just a week shy of her fifth birthday, I put my daughter to bed.

“I love you,” she whispers clumsily in my ear.
“I love you infinity,” I say.

Without missing a beat, she whispers back, “My name is not infinity.”

Oh, kid’s got jokes, huh? Well played. 🙃
