From the moment the door opened, I knew this session with @mistrixvioleta.bsky.social would be different. Transformative, safe, and deeply special. They created a space where I felt completely at home, not just because of how they cared, but because of how they played. 🖤

What happened to SWOP USA? Their website is gone and they haven't been active online since December. Did something happen?
Needless to say, I do a better job.

And before I get misinterpreted:
I am not exactly a sex work abolitionist. Sex work has still persisted under communist governments. You can't beat "fewer work hours for more pay without having to answer to anyone" as a labor model. But I also understand where people come from. Nuance!
Advocate for the improvements of the material conditions of sex workers RIGHT NOW, in our current time, 2026, so we don't have to resort to riskier measures within the industry. We don't need saviors or discourse, we need to abolish criminalization, access to legal protections and material resources
Don't choke out the most marginalized from the little bit they have in the conditions they are forced to live in. This is also not a position that is exclusive to the global North. There are plenty, PLENTY of sex worker rights activists in the global South saying the same thing.
When you critique sex work, you are critiquing all forms of exploitative work under capitalism. And you know what furthers the exploitation of sex workers under capitalism? Criminalization! Yes! Even of clients! All forms of criminalization prevents workers from organizing as a labor class.
You can have all the ideas and opinions you want about the sex industry. But we don't live under communism. We live in a capitalist society where healthcare, housing, and education are treated as businesses and not basic human rights. As long as that it is in place, sex work will persist.
The answer is no. And I'm not talking about hypothetical "what ifs", I'm talking about the policing style that is happening RIGHT NOW in Boston with the street based sex workers that I have personally spoken to.
Criminalizing clients is ignoring that there isn't a safety net for many sex workers to fall on. When talking about street based workers, many of whom struggle with substance use disorders and homelessness, are there resources available for them when you've taken their last source of income?
If people are more desperate because of raids, arrests, deportation, an ever-shrinking client pool, and imprisonment of community members, how are you expecting them to reach the stability to be more involved politically?
I'm too busy doing stuff that matters than be discussing if sex work will exist under communism. I want people who trade sex TODAY to be less poor, less desperate, not face police harassment, & feel more confident in accessing healthcare, legal aid, housing, education and help when they need it.
I'm probably gonna say something that might piss off both sides: but I do think you can be a sex industry abolitionist and pro-full decrim. I don't think those positions are at odds with each other when you consider decrim as a method of harm reduction rather than a revolutionary end-goal.

SW activists, he is a very big youtuber. If anyone is interested, reach out to this email.
The man who profited off of women's sexual labor and used that profit to fund a political lobby that defends the rape and murder of Palestinian women has died? Well I'll be darned!
I don't know. All my info came from dominafae on Instagram. Please ask her.
Also don't start dooming and nuking your Bluesky just yet. Adjust how you post just in case. These TOS changes haven't been published yet. Exercising caution is not the same as abandoning ship.
I hate to break it to you but there will never be a "irl SW-friendly social media". FOSTA/SESTA has been here for 8 years.
Deleted the post because it started to break containment. I didn't mean to fear monger or cause panic. Perhaps I'm not freaking out bc it's been rammed into my brain years ago by older SWs that no platform is permanent.

Please also check my replies to certain posts. I have a 300 character limit so I can't post it all. This is specifically referring to "illegal services" which we know is going to be applied to SWs. Please see my replies for Fae's public story.
This wasn't meant to be A Whole Thing, I just wanted to give an explanation as to why I will be taking down my Boston Pro Dommes feed. My source is Domina Fae, who has a past in the tech industry. I trust her. You are well in your right to take what I say with a grain of salt.
