I’ve always been a proud swearer. There are no ‘bad’ words, just poor uses for them The ‘worst’ word in the world shows the wonderful complexity - and danger - of language.

Potty mouthed and proud of it. What could be more Aussie than swearing? There is no such thing as bad language, just bad intent. My latest column in Nine Media. www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/li...

I’m Jewish. I live in Bondi. But I take no comfort from Herzog’s visit Not all Jews welcome the arrival of Israel’s president in Australia. I am one who believes he will divide us at a time we need cohesion. It is the type of position that has cost me friends.

As someone who helped run/ worked on democracy sausage sizzles for many years, I'd just like to say that even if you've already pre polled, PLEASE drop by your local public school tomorrow and treat yourself to something from the BBQ or cake stall. Your money goes to a good cause.

Pet dislike of the day: self-important newspaper editorials that slam both campaigns for lacking vision. For two reasons, firstly it's a disingenuous trap; any leader running a vision-based campaign would be hunted down by the Aus media and destroyed.

Not only destroyed by the media but as in 2019 be decimated by the opposition. Franking credits & negative gearing being case in point.
Progressives know it’s suicidal.

Labor deploys Wong in increasingly divisive fight for Chinese vote Foreign Minister Penny Wong has taken to Chinese social media platforms to attack Peter Dutton and the Coalition in the dying moments of the federal election.

As I told the AFR, incendiary claims, such as those made by Jane Hume, that question the loyalties of Chinese Australians delegitimise their involvement in #auspol. We mustn’t tolerate the reversing of the onus of proof & trashing of basic democratic processes

Dutton has led one of the worst election campaigns in living memory Peter Dutton must have believed he could skate to victory. How else to explain his abject failure to prepare credible policies.

Peter Dutton and his team have confused the fact he can hijack news cycles with the fact he can win government

There's a difference between being a content creator (which Dutton performs for our media) and being seen as an electable PM

He's a non-paid content clown

End salmon farming in Macquarie Harbour now.

As hundreds of thousands of salmon are dying, the PM is throwing public money at the polluting, tax-avoiding foreign corporations, putting them over Australia's people and wildlife.

It has to stop.

With social media and AI deepfakes, misinformation and disinformation are only becoming more prevalent.

Truth in political advertising laws would restore a modicum of honesty and authenticity to Australian politics.

In Australia, it's legal to lie in a political ad.

In the next few months, we will endure another federal election campaign with unfiltered exposure to lies and disinformation, UNLESS the Government passes truth in political advertising laws, which 87% of Australians support.

Let's get it done!

Grace Tame makes statement at PM’s Australian of the Year function with ‘f--- Murdoch’ T-shirt The former Australian of the Year has taken a swipe at Rupert Murdoch, saying the media mogul has “ruined the planet”.

Just love Grace Tame. And now watch the Murdoch stable of toadies and arselickers line up to blame Albo for this heinous insult to The Great Man.

Grace Tame shakes up PM's morning tea with anti-Murdoch T-shirt The former Australian of the Year has called out the Murdoch media empire, wearing a T-shirt with the slogan "F*** Murdoch" during a morning tea with Anthony Albanese.

So the ABC and the SMH and the Age wimped out on the Fuck Murdoch T- shirt. And they wonder why more and more people are getting their news from social media. Pathetic.

The aim is to ban unions and strip away all labour laws.

There's a reason Trump, Bezos, Musk love the gilded age - the age of wealthy robber barons and mass poverty and sick workers dying on the job.

Justice Dept. releases Trump special counsel report on Jan. 6 case President-elect Donald Trump had tried to prevent the release of special counsel Jack Smith’s report before taking office next week.

If Donald Trump hadn’t won the presidential election in November, the Justice Department would have had ample evidence to convict him at trial of trying to obstruct the 2020 election results, special counsel Jack Smith said in a report released Tuesday.

Meta is going to stop using third-party fact checkers after Trump takes office.

Instead, they’re going to use the “community note” approach that is on Twitter — which means the most virulent, terminally online, disinformation peddlers will be able to override objective facts.
