Airtable | Everyone's app platform
Airtable is a low-code platform for building collaborative apps. Customize your workflow, collaborate, and achieve ambitious outcomes. Get started for free.
I put together a short survey to gather stories for the talk. If you could fill it out for one (or multiple) great companies you worked at, and/or share it with former coworkers who were there too, that would be amazing. Thanks! ❤️ airtable.com/appDlqhNpH88...

The Good Years: Formative Tech Companies in the Twin Cities
In the Twin Cities tech scene, a handful of companies keep coming up - places like Code42, Refactr, Clockwork, Sport Ngin, GovDelivery, etc.
I'm giving a talk at Minnebar this year about Twin Cities tech companies that had special runs where it was both a great place to work AND really good people worked there all at the same time. And I could use your help!

Looking east at a protective cover over the trail and remaining bridge peers of the 10th Ave Bridge
Protective trail cover from falling debris over the Greenway Trail
Freestanding bridge piers amidst a pile of rubble
A piece of concrete hangs off of a piece of rebar against brick inside of a bridge pier
The Midtown Greenway is open again at 10th Ave as all parts over the trail were demolished. We have a new tunnel for the time being, I'm hoping this will mean limited closures this summer.

What’s your favorite hummus these days? I’m looking to do a hummus tasting with buddies and want to make sure I get the best options available in the twin cities.

10th Ave S bridge over Midtown Greenway
The City will improve the condition and safety of the 10th Ave S bridge.
The Midtown Greenway will be closed with a detour starting on March 11 for the removal of the 10th Ave Bridge deck. The detour goes from Park Ave, along 28th St, and to the Cepro Site park via 10th Ave. Thankfully a short detour for this bridge!

It’s remarkable how easy Claude Code makes small targeted changes when your human brain has long since forgotten (or is completely new to) an area of code.

Last night I fixed something on OMG Transit in 5 minutes - reloading data when you refocus a page - with Claude Code’s help.

But with a decently sized team and a reasonably mature product, would that still be the case?
I definitely can relate on an individual basis, but on a software team the opposite is true.

Hi all 👋 - mutual aid request incoming
Our family is connected to a neighbor family through Lyndale school, a mom with two young boys. They are very sweet and hate asking for help (same!) but they really need it right now as they’ve been scared to leave their house since December due to ICE

Deciding what to work on next is one of the hardest problems in software (Saas, specifically). With Claude Code getting better and better it really feels like this is going to be the main bottleneck both now and in the future.

A baby bundled up in a cargo bike wearing a blue helmet. There is a sign on the outside of the bike that says “Ice Out.”
A selfie of a woman wearing sunglasses and a helmet. There are hundreds of people behind her.
A photo of Nicollet Ave showing hundreds of bikers filling the road. Many people are wearing high visibility vests that say “Peaceful observer, don’t shoot”
I don’t think I could love Minneapolis more. Thousands of bikers, including a sleepy Joey, came out to ride bikes while remembering and honoring Alex Pretti today.

Thousands of cyclists ride south on Portland Ave at E 46th St
Thousands of cyclists ride on Minnehaha Parkway at Cedar Avenue
The Alex Pretti Memorial Ride in Minneapolis today was massive and so powerful to be a part of. I've seen estimates of 3-5 thousand riders, taking up to an hour for the ride to pass through an intersection.
