No, I'm not using your AI generated app to track my finances.

I'm not using your app to "monitor my energy levels" to manage executive dysfunction.

Your app that creates a chore list is literally the same as my notes app or household whiteboard.

I'm tired of going to online spaces and communities to find people who've flooded them with vibe coded apps. Mainly because they all feel like a solution looking for a problem.

The second part of me looks at is as retaliation for the paid social safety net MN implemented thanks to their surplus. It's a way of punishing them (not for the fraud that occurred).

As a reminder to our ND folks: Mr. Wonderful, the recent GFPS $4.9m scam lost, the #LegacyFund scandal.

MN is/was a test. See the recent proposals to slash #medicare, #medicaid, and any social safety nets. MN is well positioned, and people are still dying from preventable causes.

It's silent though - those families are struggling in hospital rooms, in hospice, and at every appointment.

I thought the dreaded "Obamacare" was supposed to cause the #DeathPanels. Instead it's the refusal to fund MN #medicare & #medicaid, resulting in families unable to pursue treatment for debilitating and life threatening conditions, as the money is simply not there.

The pain and fear are the point.

Pope Leo this week called universal health coverage a "moral imperative."

He also said: “Health cannot be a luxury for the few,” it is “an essential condition for social peace.”

Supreme Court rules the Postal Service can't be sued, even when mail is intentionally not delivered A divided Supreme Court has ruled that Americans can’t sue the U.S. Postal Service, even when employees deliberately refuse to deliver mail.

I remember when this was announced.

What I missed is the plaintiff was alleging the post office was refusing to deliver her mail because of her race. The supreme court STILL decided the post office could not be held liable.

Someone I love is hospitalized currently. When we discussed their treatment options, they kept bringing up how they were unsure what to choose to due to cost. #healthcare cost was given the same consideration as effectiveness, despite the fact if they can't solve the issue, their life is at risk.

It started at >$20k - now we are at the tail end/light at the end of the tunnel. I threw money to it when I had financial capacity but it's wild they decided someone who has missed TWO payments in that time should pay 2x as much now

"no f off" resulted in a garnishment of roughly 25% of my partners income, which was not sustainable (>10 years ago). Not it seems it might be worth the credit ding.

I love that it had a happy resolution!

The default here for defaulted medical debt has been payroll garnishments, which can be up to 20% of your paycheck, so everyone I know just does their best to pay off before a court order can occur.

I've literally had medical debt since I became an adult 💀

That's very interesting to learn!

Our healthcare system went from carrying the debt as open accounts (garnishing if you made no payments for a year - 1 dollar monthly payments was enough to stave off).

TO garnishments if you missed two payments (payments must be 1/12 of total debt).

This makes a ton of sense. It's an unfortunate transition from our community health system (operated by a local board vs a company).

They are essentially immediately selling off our bills if you can't pay immediately, and from there they could be sold to any healthcare equity/debt firm.

This redditor did the math on the "No Tax on Overtime".

If you qualify for the max deduction and are able to utilize it you'll get to keep an extra $2,750 dollars at the end of the year.

💯. The amount of people in my area who drive themselves to the ER or just don't go in when they should due to cost concerns is too high.

A refrain I used to hear about the ER when I was in the insurance industry: "if you are thinking about cost it's not a true emergency." Sickens me.

Fun fact - ND state ees are on 1/2 plans (pre-ACA 80/20 or ACA HDHP), except our legislators who wrote in exceptions for their plan to get an ACA 80/20. They are also toying with premiums for ees. They were stopped cuz THEY'D have to pay.
Why? ND employers have complained the state is too generous.

I remember the change from 95% in my area to 80% 🥲. Realized post COVID it had dropped yet again. Knew it was downhill after that.

Our healthcare system isn't getting reimbursed from insurance companies as much, so they've gotten aggressive with their billing to patients. It won't end well.

I'm on an 80/20, pay $0 monthly premiums (employer paid) copays <$30 with most medications costing me <$10. In our area, most plans are running 60/40.

The downside to my "free" coverage is salaries usually are $600-$1000 lower than other employers and it's a non ACA plan.

I funnily enough used to be a health insurance plan administrator. 0.002% of the population we covered was responsible for 90% of our costs. And we had to fight the company that administered our plan as they tried sneaky ways to drop those patients (ps, it was always almost cancer treatment)

These charges aren't from voluntary or non-essential care. It comes from multiple surgeries where we previously had a balance >$20k.

On the previous plan, we'd be paid off by September. This new plan wants us to pay off by June. I don't understand how this is a "win" for our healthcare system.

My household owes our local #healthcare system ~$3k. They recently contracted their billing to #ClearBalance. I had $475 monthly payments. #ClearBalance contacted me to say my new monthly payment is $934.

I have excellent #healthinsurance. I can't imagine what others are going through.

The loss of #ACA subsidies has meant a lot of the "financial independence/retire early" crowd has now had to return to work, as #healthcare has become unaffordable (even when following the 4% formula).

I can't help but think that it's intentional.

This rant brought to you by the comments in NICU parent communities telling parents they have #PPD because they are concerned their child won't survive. Or a #fanfic that stated a mother with a 1yo had PPD because she was still anxious after her child was kidnapped as a newborn.

Because my IRL people have heard this rant enough:

#PPD is becoming the new "hysteria". It is a legitimate disorder that can be life threatening. However, attributing normal reactions to PPD harms those impacted and continues the cultural misunderstanding of this tragic disorder.
