Trans people, nonbinary people, and queer people have existed for hundreds of thousands of years. Long before agriculture, money, or white people came along.

What a joy-filled day at the Director’s Guild celebrating 25 years of the Asian American Committee! So grateful for the DGA’s commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion—it’s what makes moments like this possible. And yes… I wore that shirt. You can grab one in my shop if you feel like repping too!

Thank you, Ricky, for your kindness, your talent, and for helping keep his spirit alive. Rest well. 🇵🇭

Ricky recently shared some words from Lino in a interview about professionalism in acting, “‘If you want to become a great actor, first and foremost, you have to be a good person’—that has become my mantra ever since.”

This has been a rough few weeks for Filipinos. RIP to an icon of Filipino cinema, Ricky Davao. I’m deeply grateful to have met him. He was a brilliant actor and director, and someone who took the time share heartfelt stories with me about working with my late uncle, Lino Brocka.

I guess it’s only blasphemy if a drag queen does it.

Celebrate AAPI Month in Style! This Pinoy Storyteller shirt is for my fellow Filipino creatives—whether you’re behind the camera or lighting up the screen.

Inspired by my wild ride filming Love & Lockdown in the Philippines, literally lying on the floor of a Jeepney to stay out of frame.

Proud to revisit these now—but we still have a long way to go.

I was aiming for whimsy and simplicity but also make a political statement — those wedding bands wrapped around the world were a protest. At the time, the US didn’t recognize same sex marriage and states were going out of their way to ban it, including California.

The best part of making your own T-shirts is wearing them! I created this in honor of the drag artists who’ve been instrumental in shaping who I am. I dabbled in drag in my teens but was not good & it was so expensive. My name was Fellatia. She became a character on Rick & Steve. brocka.dashery.com

It started with swag for my films and my show Rick & Steve, but quickly grew into something bigger, things I care deeply about: celebrating Queer Cinema, Filipino visibility, Trans Rights, Filmmaking, Drag Queens, and pop culture.

Over the years, people have asked if I had shirts from my films. I never did - until now!

I finally decided to create my own funky T-shirts!

I love funky T-shirts! Whenever I travel, it’s the one thing I hunt for. Not the airport or gas station shirts— something offbeat, unique, made by a local designer. A piece of a place to remember, to spark a conversation, to make someone smile.

2012. The first time I met Jiggly Caliente, I was such a fanboy. She brought so much joy into this world. Rest in peace, Bianca. 🩷🏳️‍⚧️🇵🇭

I got a sneak peak of new music videos from both @ryancassata and @tomgoss tonight at their premiere party. They also performed for us! Tom’s “Bear Soup” is so much fun. Ryan really knocked it out of the park with his catchy song “I Feel Like Throwing Up.”
