Because they turn Formula 1 into Formula E. Because people are down shifting on straights while going flat out to recharge battery. Because "there are no more high speed corners anymore, only medium and low speed". That's just a few of the things drivers have pointed to (way more than just Max).

I don't understand how anyone can look at Modern and see a healthy format. Almost every single deck is combo. The last couple "fair" decks have been banned into oblivion. We can debate whether evoke cards and the one ring are fair but they aren't combo at least.

Yeah sorry I got my conversations mixed up. I use to watch F1 as a kid with my dad during the 90's but I missed the 2000's and 2010's and just recently started watching again in 2020. So I don't have a ton of knowledge about those other reg resets.

There's a price that comes with being the most vocally critical about stuff. There's so much about how these cars need to be driven that don't sound like F1 to me. Down shifting in previous flat our portions of tracks, super clipping at the end of straights, more lift and coast, etc.

That can be true but also the battery management part of these new regs could also be a bridge too far. Max isn't the only driver complaining. Max haters find it hilarious and fulfilling to bitch about Max but you can't deny he loves racing/F1 and he knows what he's talking about.

The FIA doesn't control what Pirelli does to the tyre, how they formulate the compound to be more or less durable, etc. Personally I don't want F1 to move more towards Formula E. Imo it would be better to have no battery at all, go back to a V8 or a V10 with sustainable fuels.
