It's always been cold here on the May long weekend. Sometimes it even snows. This year the trend continues. I love how cozy I get to feel in sweaters and blankets and sipping hot tea... I love the simple things.

I'm baking a cake tonight. I don't need the sugar or the calories, but I need the comfort.

Is anyone else addicted to stationery? I just cleaned out my purse to discover 2 styluses, 3 pens, a baggie of pen refills, and a notebook. All in my tiny purse with the stuff I use like my wallet and a spare charging cable.

I seriously love this band. I have for years. Please check them out!

The band has gone through so many changes over the years, but I really appreciate how good you all sound, how you keep old favorite songs alive. ๐Ÿ’– So much love to the entire staff and crew. You will always be my favorite!

I can't wait to make myself one of these! I bought the pattern from eBay and I'm so excited because this is the time when the blankets and throws start to go on clearance so I can get fabric cheap. And I want to dress like a Care Bear! #findyourjoy

I used to hate Valentine's Day. Lately it's grown on me. I love this man so much more every day.

I've been quiet because I've been dealing with a lot. Dad survived brain surgery we weren't sure he'd be able to get in order to remove a huge tumor. Youngest brother has a diagnosis of vasculitis. Spouse and I are moving in with my parents to help. So much stress. We're getting there.

Starting to watch Supernatural. I've only seen the first couple of seasons.

Yeah, the changes I don't like are all the timeline things. I can't keep track anymore and I got worn out, so I stopped watching after the Obi Wan series which really didn't fit the other lore. I can't say if acolyte was a good show cause I didn't watch it. Too much else to think about.

I married the best man I've ever met in 2016. I'll face hell with him. We'll make it through together.

Reasons to Live Through the Apocalypse

Sunrises. People you have still to meet and laugh with. Songs about love, peace, anger, and revolution. Walks in the woods.
The smile you exchange with a stranger when you experience beauty accidentally together. Butterflies. Seeing your grandparents again. The moon in all her forms, whether half or full. Dogs.
Birthdays and half-birthdays. That feeling of floating in love.
Watching birds eat from bird feeders. The waves of happiness that follow the end of sadness. Brown eyes. Watching a boat cross an empty sea. Sunsets. Dipping your feet in the river. Balconies.
Cake. The wind in your face when you roll the car window down on an open highway. Falling asleep to the sound of a steady heartbeat. Warm cups of tea on cold days. Hugs. Night skies. Art museums. Books filled with everything you do not yet know.
Long conversations. Long-lost friends. Poetry.

I wrote this on one of the darkest days of my life. It gave me an anchor to hold onto.

I'm watching current events with great concern, as most people are. I've moved past disbelief, through anger and fear, and find myself residing in resignation and disassociation. I wish I had even a small amount of money or power to help
