I don't mind not receiving kudos or comments, because that's how this generation is, for some very sad but valid reasons. I write because I need to. My brain is wired to write and draw. I forget to eat, to drink, and live inside the story, through the story. AI + 0 kudos can't take that need from me

I think the younger generations are smart to withdraw and to shape communities as private as they can be. It's a form of resistance. There's no novelty or excitement in commenting stuff online anymore, because there's just too much information out there. So no, I don't mind not receiving kudos.

I don't know how Gen Z or Alpha socializes. Our former physical social structures have become unsafe places. The whole internet has become a giant scam market. Social media has become the loudspeaker of technofacists. I think that this withdrawal into private spaces is sad, but a natural evolution.

I read about the new tendency of fanfic readers to gush about fanfic writers in private on discord, and not leaving any comment or even kudos on the works. I'm talking as a millennial here, who has seen the internet evolve before social media became so widespread...

A fic of mine has crossed 7k hits, but the kudos count is still in 300, yet every day I see the view count on the fic increasing. I feel so discouraged when I get no positive comments, now even the number of kudos is declining.
