I love Pillion for being the rare and refreshing gay romance film about learning your boundaries from your first relationship, discovering your sexual freedom and learning to move on; this makes it resonate for me in a way apart from other gay films, even though I prefer many of the miserable ones

for reference my favorite films I got to see at Cannes last year were Sound of Falling, It Was Just An Accident, Resurrection and Sentimental Value. Pillion probably would´ve been one of my favorites too if I got to see it

I´ll see what I can do, as I don´t think I´ll be posting on bsky much, but I will post my ranking on here of all the films I saw, same as I did last year

I miss watching James Benning films. I haven´t been in that state of mind for a while

I think the last edition was awesome (I was there last year) but I agree that this year has a return of all the ´´icons´´, many of whom are some of my favorite directors

I am going to Cannes again! For the third time! Most anticipated films would be Fjord (Mungiu) and Minotaur (Zvyagintsev)

Somehow entertained yet underwhelmed by The Bone Temple. The filmmaking needed to be so much more to elevate the script, but that´s hard to do without Danny Boyle
