A really chilling implication here is that if Trump keeps doing speeches on military bases, and commanding officers continue to tell soldiers to opt in or out of these events (as they did here), then there will be lists by base and unit of which soldiers support the administration & which don't.

If I was a democratic comms person, I would get on TV and say simply: people are in the streets because the Trump administration lied. They said they were going to deport violent criminals to make America safer, but instead they're deporting ordinary working families, making America less safe.
ICE raided Los Angeles elementary schools in an attempt to kidnap small children. They hid their identities, claimed they weren't ICE, and lied to school authorities that they had "permission" from the parents to take the children out. School officials luckily didn't fall for it.

National Guard soldiers stay at inexpensive hotels which offer federal GSA per diem rates.
Typically budget hotels operated by Marriott, IHG, Hilton, and Choice (so think Hampton Inn, SpringHill, Staybridge, etc).
Usually they stay close to major freeway on ramps. They're very easy to spot.
