Does anyone know how to contact digital ocean's abuse address without the XARF report requirements as I have no clue how to get that working.
We're getting aggressively scraped by over 1000 (likely compromised) digital ocean IP addresses and mailing their abuse@ address [β¦]

@marnie I was quite surprised as well they were this affordable, but I guess all it really needs to do is do some power conversion and use a PCIe USB bridge.
It being PCIe 3.0 probably helps a lot too with finding a cheap IC, or maybe it's PCIe 2.0 x2? Either way 3.0 x1, or 2.0 x2 both will [β¦]
@marnie Cheap ($15) USB-C 10Gbps to CF Express adapter.
I think it uses a USB to PCIe bridge internally, so I assume the loss of bandwidth comes from overhead and limitations of this chip.
I would check which IC shows up in System Report but I have just packed it away for a trip tomorrow morning

I thought this as well, but this card had no issue having its 1TB written at a sustained speed of 850MB/s. It's specs tell me it's 3D TLC
The flash might still be of higher quality though, I assume that's definitely part of the reason. Maybe these manufacturers have a large amount of [β¦]

They all seem to be PCIe 3.0 (CFExpress 2.0), offer sustained 1GB/s speeds at 1TB or above and are β¬200/TB or even less. (Which is at least 50% cheaper than competitors)

Genuinely feels like there is some MacOS software bug that caused a loud pop to be sent to the speakers, and the speakers can't handle the volume so they break ππ
This is the second time one of the spakers in my MacBook Pro 16" (2023) has killed itself wtf
I had some background music on at 10% volume, suddenly I heard a really loud pop and now my left speaker has no bass anymore

Just... that one dataset made everything I/O lockup if you tried to access it.
Waiting for the machine to come back online now...
Just managed to get my FreeBSD based NAS to I/O lockup so badly that the only thing that shut it down was a forced shutdown..
All I did was just mess around with zfs compression options and that froze access to the entire dataset on that zpool :blobdisguise:
