I’m only on Threads because some accounts I really like to follow are, for some reason, not here yet.

A screenshot of GitHub Copilot CLI. The text in the screenshot says:

All complete. Summary:

Domain (F# / Model.fs)

 - Added Pdeek DU (LaxGibuu | LaxSkiik | Ganeda | Giskaast) with [<StringEnum>] under Fable for clean TS interop.
 - Added Wilp = { Name: WilpName; Pdeek: Pdeek } and changed Person.Wilp to Wilp option.
 - FamilyGraph keeps WilpName-keyed maps (no record comparisons in production code) and gains a WilpsByName map +
findWilp accessor.
 - Initial data: A→Giskaast (red, default), B→Ganeda, C→LaxSkiik, D→LaxGibuu so all four Pdeek render.

Trait rename

 - PeopleTraits.Wilp → RenderedWilp to avoid clash with the new Wilp record. Updated Entities/People.fs,
Systems/Layout.fs, Entities/Connectors.fs, tests/Entities/PeopleTests.fs.

After a hiatus for the past few months, I'm working on my #Gitxsan family tree visualizer again. What a difference a couple months makes in the age of AI. It's pretty cool to see #GitHubCopilotCLI "speaking" Sim Algyax into my F# codebase.

I feel like the people confidently making these statements haven’t witnessed Opus 4.6 debugging a complex concurrency bug by reading code alone.

Native-Land.ca | Our home on native land Native Land is a resource to learn more about Indigenous territories, languages, lands, and ways of life. We welcome you to our site.

A general approach I encourage is to start by learning whose land you live on and use that to guide your research: native-land.ca

There are so many cultures that I think you need to reframe your question. It would help to clarify what the learning goals are.

I second the other suggestion to watch APTN. I also strongly recommend the podcast @mediaindigena.bsky.social although it helps to have a basic grasp of history first.

There are definitely parallels between colonization and the way training data has been “acquired“.

Fukuyama: "The world has become a very dangerous place, because the most powerful country is under the control of a 10 year old boy..."

Frank isn't holding back.

And we're all here for it.

This is what happens when the user interaction model and the actual model of how the system works diverge too much.

Normally it doesn’t take that long for C# to copy F# features. 😉

Now if only I can convince our code review agent to stop telling us not to use new C# language features because it doesn’t recognize them…

Canadians have a big blindspot for the very real racism that exists in our society. The lived reality for many does not match that high number.

There are two reasons for this:
1. I hate yak shaving, and the AI does all that for me. It's the ultimate un-blocker.
2. To get good results on production code, all the discipline we've had to fight to prioritize (good design, solid test coverage, etc.) is now *essential* and easy to justify.

10 things I learned from burning myself out with AI coding agents Opinion: As software power tools, AI agents may make people busier than ever before.

This is going to make coordinating with my coworkers in Washington state and California very interesting.

Totally worth it though.

From now on I’m blocking any account that shows up in my feed where the posts have obvious GenAI cliches like “This is not an A. This is a B.”

If you have an opinion you think is worth sharing, share *that*, not ChatGPT’s training set’s take on it.
