The children warch, blank-faced, as the translucent specter of a large dunmer man crouches in front of them beside a pile of kindling and blows a ghostly fire breath toward it to light it.

DANG this rules, there's a subtlety to the expression especially around the eyes, and I love the way you rendered the pupils and the teeth, and the stark blocking on the clothes for contrast.

In a darkening forest scene beside a stone fence and a winding country road somewhere in Cyrodiil, two dunmeri children are defended from would-be attackers by their ancestor spirit, a dragonknight wielding a sword and shield ablaze with fire. He towers above the children, the sunset on the hills just visible through his ghostly face as he brandishes his sword at the silhouettes of the frightened robbers in the foreground and guards the children with his shield and ghostly draconic red wings. The children stare down their would-be attackers, one of them brandishing a knife and both holding each other back from harm, showing no fear now that their ancestor is here.

I play dunmer in all the Elder Scrolls games and it kind of aligned that I could make sense of them all being related, so here's a pic I began and finished today of my Hero of Kvatch and my Nerevarine (siblings) summoning their ancestor The Vestige for protection. Just a typical dunmeri family, yk.

All that talk about boundaries but they have zero respect for mine

I'm not petty enough to send them a message directly to tell them "thanks for fucking up my week" but I want to. i want them to know they fucked up my week. I want to fuck theirs up right back. But all I can do is block them.

I blocked them on tumblr, my main platform. I blocked them on discord. I told them I didn't want to speak to them anymore. I dunno how I could have made it clearer. I didn't even realize I didn't block them on bsky because I'm seldom here.

They KNOW I don't want to hear from them. So why?

It's not fair!! I keep their name out of my mouth. I try to forget them and not talk negatively about them. I spent most of a year and a half quietly spiraling in my head every day about that relationship and felt real relief when I realized I'd stopped mentally arguing with them every day. And now!

I really truly get to spend MULTIPLE DAYS feeling anxious and upset and distracted over my ex showing up in my notifs on bluesky because I didn't realize I hadn't blocked them here

I get to have my heart thudding about this for two days because they hit the repost button on my stuff
