You know the viral dance to maps? The emotion wrenching soul crushing song. How did we land on the interpretive dance for that being a traffic warden into a bumble bee ? Asking for a friend
@jww.wtf you’re not allowed to tell me popbase or popcrave.
@tylerh.social will take any more recs you got 😂😃
Also curious about this. What’s the music scene like on here at the moment?
if you werent here in the early days of bluesky you missed some really funny stuff. a bunch of people got psyched out of their minds on having 1000 followers for the first time and tried to cancel dril
Chappell Roan on this list:
Ooh excellent, thank you! Followed
Now that I’m back, what feeds should I add? Does the hellthread still exist?!
Nor will it be the last.
Also it’s telling me I have an invalid handle, wtf? Explain
This is your fault.
Fine, let’s give this another go.
This is the briefing I want:
Totally. They also never have the “I can’t think of a good insult in the moment” problem.
I’m rewatching the West Wing for the first time in years and tempted to change all my bios to “paranoid Berkeley shiksa feminista.” (Josh describing CJ.)
Finally watching The Bear and this may be one of my favorite lines ever: “Sometimes I look like February.”
When asked if he’s seeing the Barbie movie: “Of course I am. I love women.” - @jww.wtf
I keep thinking about Sharon Rooney and Nicola Coughlan in Barbie. I adore them and I’m glad they were there, but I wish the film had gone deeper into weight and body image. (Then again, maybe what I want is less of a film and more of a dissertation.)
Definitely going as Weird Barbie for Halloween.
reading this line in cultish about what religions do — provide meaning, purpose, sense of community, and ritual — and feeling like our non-religious generation has been trying to find all those things in work, and thus dismayed and betrayed when things like layoffs happen
I was CONVINCED a coworker of mine was like 5’10” before we met. She’s shorter than me, 5’4”. Blew my mind.

Omg that is a BRILLIANT idea. I’m going to try this through plane crash scenes on TV shows. 😂
It’s not the same as letting everyone create their own instance and develop their own rules. It would be inviting in the experts/communities who have the experience and skillsets to shape effective moderation policies. I’d be fascinated to see a network with T&S as its foundation.
The fediverse is one thing, but I think it’d be even cooler to see what kind of platform could be built if the community were truly brought into its development. I’m struck by how many users want to help shape a safe and supportive Bluesky; what if the team facilitated that?
Anyone else just randomly get Mambo No. 5 stuck in their head?
