Gender Queer: The Annotated Edition, a large coffeetable size book, held open in front a background of green leaves so that the full wraparound cover art can be seen
A spread from Gender Queer: The Annotated Edition, a large coffee table size book, held open in front a background of green leaves. The book is so heavy it's rather hard to hold to up with one hand.

As of 2023, Sherlock Holmes is finally in the public domain in the United States -- which means that Arthur Conan Doyle's heirs and random other rights-holders can no longer insist that the character be free of any trace of homoeroticism.

I think if it committed to giving the main character a strong belief system, it would improve the show.
But it didn't really commit to anything politically. Just vague we can make the world better guestures but not like solid plans of action. That characters who do have plans of action are like lady to who makes herself a superhero to kill rapists and a guy that opens a free hospital.
That last one, I think just never lived up to its premise. For the unfamiliar, a bunch of people are randomly chosen and given giant bank accounts. They are told to use the money to save society. But aren't given further instructions. So everyone has to define it for themselves.
Here's mine:
- Wolf Lake (they were trying to do twin peaks with werewolves and the problem is they didn't go weird enough)
- The 10th Kingdom
- Eden of the East
I think if you wanna do a bio pic of a famous person, it is better to focus in on one moment of their life.
Like Death By Lightning works well because it's not all of Garfeild's life, it is him running for pres and getting shot.
I mostly remembered because I'm subscribed to ben and jerry's newletter for coupons. And they send a 420 email every year telling everyone to called their reps/governer to give people arrested for possession to have their records cleaned/be let out of prison
Everyone is ordering snacks to go with their weed
I'm getting over a cold and my throat hurts a bit. So I ordered some ice cream to get delivered to my house. I saw estimated wait time, thought "wonder why it is so long a wait" then i remembered what day it is. They probably got a lot of deliveries today
This also might be why I lean more toward media criticism youtubers, it's based on opinion more than stuff anything else.
I basically haven't watched her videos since
While the former I could maybe chalk up to different internet circles, the latter is not too hard to disprove. There are several places it is said the cast and crew never knew if they would get another season, except season 4 and 6.
There was a video essayist I used to like then she did a video about Buffy saying season 6 was widely regarded as the worst season (which her video was arguing against) and that Buffy the show knew they would get and planned for 5 seasons.
When a headline ends in a question mark, the answer is always no.
Also, I wish the image in the article wasn't made with AI
User dratsab huffman asks the question: To amuse myself i researched revacholian nationalism as well as measure head's race theories etc etc and focused my character on "traditionalism". Anyway, ive noticed that if i ever click dialogue options that are in tune with my character's political compass, i lose morale. Whats the point of having this as a mechanic if its going to be so detrimental and feels like the character doesnt believe he actually is this or something... is there anyway to overcome that kind of morale loss?
Recalcitrant Jester replies: Being a fascist is a deeply demoralizing experience. You have to not only radically alter your worldview to make reality fit into your unhinged schema, but that worldview is predicated on the notion that the weakest, most unworthy degenerate worms on the planet are somehow overpowering and humiliating you on a moment-by-moment basis. In mechanical terms too, the lowered morale also reduces your volition score—the more you indulge in your delusions, the less you are able to exercise self-control and self-awareness. The point of fascism being mechanically detrimental—the ludonarrative theme—is that fascism is an unequivocally self-destructive ideology, the practice of which only serves to nurture that self-destructive urge and turn it outward. It's not like Dark Side points in KotOR where you can access cool new abilities and get to enjoy being such a nasty lil rascal; you are not supposed to enjoy being a fascist in Disco Elysium. Fascism is the act of self-deception in service of making your own life more painful, solely for the payoff of making life more painful for people you dislike.

I want more of Bashir and Garik talking about books
I started Consider Phlebas, and I can definitely see why I got told to read Player of Games first. The start of this one is kinda drops you in running, so it took me a bit to put together what is going on. Though I think I got a handle on it now.
I thought M. Bison was like a facsist dictator of a fake country. But had no clue how that tied into street fighting.
So I now know he's a crime boss and the street fights are to fight recruits to work under him and/someone who's body he can steal using magic/mad science.
That mostly makes sense
The Street Fighter trailer made me realize I have no clue what the "story" of Street Fighter is. So yesterday I ended up watching a very long lore video explaining it.
