Hi Steve
I'm coming down to West Penwith for a few days, and thinking of detour for rf falcon.
Were do I park, and is it OK for motorhome.
Many thanks
Stan
You have a good memory.
Hi Dawn
Yes we were stood by the fence when the Hoopoe perched on the post beside us and then flew over my motorhome.
I had 4 days at Portland last week not as productive as last year but did have another Hoopoe, this made 5 for the year, don't think I'll do that again.

Common migrants have been slow at Portland, but waking up to see 2 ring ouzel outside the van and then my 5th Hoopoe for the year, with my first photos with its crest up has more than made up for that.πππ
Decided to go to West Penwith for Alpine Accentor today. Well worth the trip with brilliant views in the sun, 2nd lifer of the year. Great scenery as well.πππ
This is my 4th Hoopoe of the day this one at Rafta Farm. I could definitely get used to this.ππ
1 Hoopoe still at Pendeen and 2 Hoopoe behind Sennen school in the cauliflower field.
Exminster marsh. Definatly 8 and probably 10 Little Ringed Plover, along back path and in front of the discovery area.
Quiet day on Exminster marsh today with no migrants, but was pleased to photograph a pair of kingfishers for the first time.
Finally got to see the long- billed Dowitcher on Exminster marsh, showing well by the end of the canal. Also the White fronted Goose by turf, unfortunately it didn't hang around for a photo.
