You can't call immigrants lazy moochers looking for government handouts and then round them up at Home Depots where you know they are looking for work.

You can't say immigrants don't follow the rules and then round them up in courthouses where they are following the rules.

Get your lies straight.

When our friends, students, and colleagues can’t travel without fear of detention or deportation, we don’t live in a free society. I’ll never understand the silence of leaders who won’t use their power to say—out loud—that this is wrong. And I won’t soon shut up about it.

White House pauses all federal grants, sparking confusion The Trump administration has put a hold on all federal financial grants and loans, affecting tens of billions of dollars in payments.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

“Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

And in all (un)seriousness, I am equally enthralled with #KoreanDramas, #kpop, any book on dystopian futures that reflect deeply enmeshed institutional failure (not related to my research of course), #musicals, and podcasts about food

And in all seriousness, I research the #Institutionalism of #Equity #Activism #Oppression in #HigherEd & #Education at-large, which means I also look at #OrgTheory and the differential ways #Labor #Carework #Policies #Unwellness impact marginality and livelihoods

My friend introduced me as a #writer & #UnsuccessfulComedian, who just happens to be a #professor Monday to Friday to pay the bills— which is hilarious since it doesn’t pay the bills and I work Sunday to Saturday 😭🤣
