New Waterfront youth hub to be built from Towns Fund A new "state-of-the-art" youth centre is set to be built on Ipswich Waterfront following a £1.14m grant from the Towns Fund.

I am delighted this new state-of-the-art youth centre is moving ahead with funding worth £1.1 million.

4YP’s project will deliver a dedicated, safe space for young people in our town.

This includes the planned schemes on Nacton Road, Woodbridge Road and the Hospital to Waterfront route.

Ipswich MP says social care pay review body will improve pay in sector Ipswich MP Jack Abbott has said that the government will introduce a pay review body for people working in the social care sector.

I was proud to support a 6.7% pay rise for 1000s of social care workers.

Our Government will go further: the Employment Rights Bill will establish an Adult Social Care Negotiating Body to ensure a fair deal for people in Ipswich and beyond who make such an important contribution to our community.
