Apptron can of course be used for instant dev environments. Unlike Codespaces/CodeSandbox/Replit it's entirely open source and runs entirely in-browser. No cloud compute necessary, making it cost almost nothing to run!

This is a big one. Apptron also lets you embed Linux software on **any web page**. Great for software playgrounds, demos, etc. No separate Wasm toolchain like emscripten necessary!

yea i agree in theory but its all about specific examples to determine if its actually a good fit. if you think of specific examples that might be would love to hear them!
right, it cant be a simple utility because its too slow to be worth it. i wont wait 2 seconds for a color converter to load but will wait 2 seconds to load gmail and leave it open
