Anyhow, like I said, nonsense like this has recently crept into my own world. To see it put out there like this, in a pitiful fit of victimhood, hit me where I live. End of thread.

Whereas, everything that The Free Press stands for is a refusal to allow minority parties to demand that a majority bend in any way. What is Rheingold seeking if not a "woke" concession to her own selected identity? The Free Press *literally* exists to fight against this very thing.

I assure you, there's a community that she could find where she could participate in Hebrew classes. But she doesn't want that. She wants a community to meet her exactly where she is. And to fail to do that is, in her mind, violence.

I'm not saying she should make her mother Jewish. Just that she clearly has no affiliation with this place that she assumes will welcome her into its walls. He's a rabbi, and therefore, he's supposed to help her with her little project.

But then there's the article she uses. "I just spoke with A rabbi …" Not, "I just spoke with MY rabbi." She put in no work to become part of a community that this rabbi serves. Or to become part of the synagogue where he works.

She is demanding, though, that a traditional religious space cater to her (again, I'm certain none of this happened, but bear with me).

She could choose anywhere she wanted to go try to take this Hebrew class, but she's going to the most traditional environment possible. I assure you, conservative and reform and even most orthodox synagogues wouldn't hesitate to let anyone study with them, within reason.

Let's give her the benefit of the doubt and suggest that this happened. Clearly, if some hypothetical rabbi is telling her that he (I'm guessing it's a he) won't allow her to participate in a Hebrew class because her mother isn't Jewish, she's talking to someone affiliated with an orthodox synagogue

Unfortunately, I have a bit of experience with this type of performative nonsense in my own Jewish community lately, so allow me a short thread with some thoughts on something that almost certainly never happened, but whatever.
