With the result in Virginia, here's what we know about how mid-decade redistricting has shifted the landscape.
Across the 7 states with new maps:
—11 districts have shifted toward Democrats;
—9 districts have shifted toward the GOP.

The YES has won in Virginia; voters approved the constitutional amendment to adopt Dems' congressional gerrymander.
This is likely to deliver a 10-1 (Dem) congressional delegation in November, compared to 6-5 (Dem) now.
The remaining obstacle: State supreme court will be weighing in still.
22% of votes are left to count, and Yes is currently behind by ~43,000 votes. Yes is expected to overtake as votes from Fairfax and other remaining counties come in.
BREAKING: The YES vote will WIN Virginia’s redistricting referendum, allowing Democrats to redraw maps ahead of the midterms and potentially flip the state from 6–5 to 10–1 — a four-seat swing that could decide control of Congress.
