Another workshop behind us!

Managed to livestream it to #YouTube via #OBS

Lessons learnt, of course, but #progress made

All in all we turned what used to take up to two days of focus (distraction) and get the post work done in under an hour (due to said lessons)

Next time should be minutes

Bravo! 🙌

Just needed some hardware to terminate usb connected cameras in the studio for streaming so as NOT to tie up my laptop (which despite being a healthy M2 was drowning if I wasn’t extremely careful — OBS is a pedal to the Metal (ahem) kind of app)

So this turned into two full days (but I finally won)

Was installing Ubuntu to an old cheese grater Mac

Not for the faint of heart by any stretch of the imagination

Should have been 20 minutes tops

Would have sprayed the money hose to solve this problem but everything is backordered so 🤔

Isn’t it funny how when it comes to features that spy on us they always enable them first and require us to opt out?

Yet when it comes to features that actually protect our privacy they default to off and we have to manually opt in?

I would love to answer this but I just had a 14 hour day NOT accomplishing what should have taken 20 mins or so

AI was involved…

If/when I recover the lost time I try once back and give you a real answer

I wonder why? 🤔

Currently it’s creating content — I have a map and whole slew of material to get through so it’s just hard core slog at this point

So the FBI just hacked into your router (and changed a few things) just to make sure the Russians weren’t hacking into your router

This is going to be interesting 😳

Still there btw (not that anyone else should be able to see it but maybe we are all getting this now?)

If you're a founder, the to-do list never ends.

It's the job. I've made peace with it.

Just another audio test for now — will likely be creating some more material live next week

Wow — was surprised that BlueSky did not remember that last go live link — that threw me for a loop

Yikes, Encryption’s Y2K Moment is Coming Years Early Google moved up its estimated deadline for quantum preparedness in cryptography to 2029—only 33 months from now. That’s earlier than previous deadlines, and they proposed the new post-quantum

Engineers, time to lock in. The post-quantum readiness timeline has moved up in light of new research, and the new deadline is only 33 months away. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...

Lather, rinse, IMPROVE, repeat

Repeating things doesn’t make them better unless you consciously focus on what has to improve and measure the results

Well I was introduced to that term with my first #stackoverflow post on a language that i wasn’t used to and i asked what i thought was an innocent enough question about a fundamental concept

It actually kinda stung and made me realize that SO simply wasn’t going to be a place i would invest in
