I'm very much in "wait and see" mode on this one
Typically I don't care for deckbuilding games or roguelikes. However, I recently tried the Rune Dice (@runedicegame.bsky.social) demo and I'm hooked.
They have a customer in me when it releases in Q2.

Imagine being a "fan" of microtransactions
The other thing I wonder about is: where are the kids? Among my own children, and their friends, none of them are excited for the Switch 2. Many of them don't even know what it is. They're content to play games on their phones and tablets. That seems like a problem. But perhaps this is an exception?
I'm good with this
I think I went through no less than six MS Sidewinder 3D Pro joysticks playing this game. It also provided my first real online community in the IPX emulator Kali. Those were the days!
Shout out to everyone who used to play online via Kali back then!
Congrats on 10K! See you next weekend!
No cash shops or microtransactions. It's rare these days to find a MMO that prioritizes gameplay/fun over revenue. This team is doing it right. Such a breath of fresh air.
In a word, yes.

Personally, I like capes if implemented well. But that seems easier said than done. Lots of really bad cape implementations out there.
This is going to be a blast!
Bummed I'm out of town and will miss this one! It's my most anticipated MMO in many years. I'm definitely planning to get some time with it in the weekend playtest at the end of the month, though.
No way the Switch 2 controllers are reportedly suffering from the same drift issues that plagued the first Switch. I refuse to believe Nintendo would allow that.
I'm holding off for now and will reconsider based on early feedback in the coming weeks.
Yeah, I was lucky enough to grab a Mario Kart bundle preorder at midnight when those opened. Just got the tracking # yesterday.
I don't play console games as much these days, so it'll remain hidden until my daughter's birthday. :)
Hopefully the steam release provides a shot in the arm for Embers Adrift. It's a truly great indie MMO and these guys deserve it.

I like the rebrand! Looking forward to the upcoming test and hoping for continued smooth development with steady progress. Cheers!

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I'm having a blast with Pantheon right now. Yeah it's alpha, and thus incomplete. But the core gameplay loop is fantastic. My static group and I are playing nearly every night since EA launch and having a great time.
I'll take your word for it
Yes, I've really been enjoying it. I am 9 on my wizard as well. The itemization rework has been great.
I'm a bit in the minority when it comes to MMOs because I don't play anything with PVP or microtransactions/cash shops. With that in mind I'll be Embers Adrift, Pantheon, EverCraft Online, and Monsters & Memories in any public tests or releases next year.
Oh you know I'm in!
I was not planning to try it simply because the first one didn't grab me and my enthusiasm for ARPGs has waned over the years. Boy am I glad I changed my mind. It's fantastic!
