#OldMapWednesday In my recent vacation to Netherlands I learned that Manhattan used to be a Dutch colony known by the name of New Amsterdam 🤯(to no surprise for americans, I imagine). This is the earliest map, called the "The Castello Plan", by Jacques Cortelyou ~1660.
