I’ve got some pretty good ideas and am not too shabby at creating interesting characters and their dialogue.

How I can go from being creatively constipated to unleashing 2 chapters of a book in an hour should be studied.

Not that I’m complaining.

I realize today how important it is that we feel heard.

So, what are you struggling with? In your writing or your life? Share as much or as little as you like.

And most importantly, leave it here. This thread can carry that weight.

You, on the other hand, shouldn’t have to. 💙

One of the things I enjoy about writing a book is figuring out the connections. Why does this character do this? How would this character react, and is it realistic? How do I get this character to do this, but after that?

It’s a puzzle that’s one of my favourite things to do.

Book cover of The Station 17 Chronicles by Oli Jacobs. There is a picture of a black station like an oil rig with a white background, and below is a black background with a large drop of blood in the middle.

Just finished reading The Station 17 Chronicles by

I loved it! A mix of horror with elements of The Thing, and also elements of isolation of the station gives it a psychological thriller feel as well like the movie Triangle.

Thanks for another fun time, #HorrorWritersChat! I needed that. Everything is stupid right now...but all of you remain delightful.

As for promo, I suppose without a distributor all I have is my store, so here's that (and all my covers because it's fun);

I choose to say I'm a Horror writer because Horror is so fluid

You can mesh it with any genre

I would argue, for example, that the comedy of Chris Morris can be classed as Horror

Especially Jam

So Horror to me is genre

Slap onto sci-fi, comedy, erotica, mystery

Sorted!

If samurais can fax Abe Lincoln, I reckon I can convince some folk that Jack the Ripper was also an EDM artist.

To be honest, my mental health did play a part in me embracing horror as my literary genre. Especially as the space comedy failed to gain an audience. Don’t want laughs? Have an insight into my nightmares then! *evil laugh*
