Surprisingly heartbroken by the passing of Claudio Bordignon, a true founder of the field of gene therapy. I haven't seen him for close to 30 years, but he was the type of guy you remember for that long - for his intellect, his charm, and his knowledge of Barolo. Rest in power, my friend.

Follow-up on this. Made kind of an Old Fashioned riff - 2 oz Rittenhouse Rye, 0.25 oz of this stuff, dash each of Ango and orange bitters. Didn't grab me off the top but got a bit better as it diluted. Could have been a tad sweeter. So next time I'll use bourbon or maybe bump this up to 0.5 oz.
