And they were committed to seeing Pragmata to the finish line compared to companies like Sony or Tencent who would have canceled a new IP for how long it was cooking.

This feels like a specific scenario, but if I was looking to apply for a waiver for a student project, but also knew students that were pursuing a major in theatre that I’d want to use said project, would I have to fill out Taft Hartley agreements for said students?
This one?
The amount of 'realism' I want in a game is exactly as much as the art team behind that game intended. The lighting I want is the lighting the art team behind that game intended. The character appearance I want the way the art team intended.
That's it. Stop touching it.

I totally thought tomadachi life had a switch 2 version confirmed in its direct, my bad.
And rhythm heaven and tomodachi life. Add on the fact the Tera leak showed they were experimenting with gen 10 on switch 1 and quite frankly a cross platform release is not out of the question. Unlikely sure, but not impossible.

Leon needs to be bumped up to 4 (2,4,6, and soon to be 9)
Astro bot, ya poser 💙
Apparently Nomura was at the Kingdom Hearts Second Breath concert today, and his commentary with Shimomura was interesting. Here’s the transcription: Nomura: “Last year after the KH event, there was something that happened that determined the direction of the KH series. Shimomura: Huh, what? What happened? [reaction that looked like “but it must be all right now?”] Nomura: (turning to Shimomura) Oh you didn’t know? Shimomura: ??? Nomura: I’ll tell you backstage. ??????????? Posted to Twitter 3/19/23 The Kingdom Hearts event in question would have been the 20th anniversary event in April 2022
“I had been given the OK to move forward with production but it was going to take time to assemble the right team” Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games Finale uploaded October 2024, timestamp 2:25
“The target timeframe was April 2022” Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games Finale uploaded October 2024, timestamp 2:30 With the power of hindsight, we now know this game was Kirby Air Riders, which was developed by Bandai Namco. Combined with the reports that the switch 2 was allegedly delayed, it’s plausible that dev kits to trusted partners would have been sent out around this time.
I honestly think a shift to the switch 2 happened before rebirth came out based on this tidbit (assuming it’s real, this post from April 2023 is the only source I can find for such a comment) and Bamco beginning Kirby air riders’ development around the same time based on Sakurai’s last YouTube video
Fighting games don't really struggle, its just that the industry has decided that normal multiplayer games can't exist, they all have to be infinite money generators, and fighting games are just a bad fit
current fighting games attempt to bridge the gap but you can never have fighting game fortnite
ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY CLAPBACK
Keep driving is a neat indie turn-based RPG set in the 90’s/00’s about you going on a road trip to see your friend. It’s “combat” would be situations you would realistically find going on such a trip, bad weather, dealing with cops who pull you over for no reason, etc. youtu.be/k6eFgU9XiHg?...

Bold to assume he isn’t just doing this to split the ticket and stop Mamdani from winning like what his donors want him to do.
And I thought the $60 mufasa buckets were insane

A lot of the hype really does boil down to it being one of the first western RPGs on consoles, I enjoy it, but I wouldn’t put it over the Lego games, republic commando,Battlefront 2 (2005) or empire at war.

Happy birthday! Hope you have a great day!
The way birds are drawn in Yoshi’s Island cannot be surpassed by any other bird design. Look at these things. Unbelievable animals
The only justification I could see from Nintendo then vs now (and I’ll even concede this is flimsy as hell) is they were coming off the dire straits that was the Wii U, they had to get as many people on board with the switch. Because the switch made more money than god, that pressure is off.
Walkabout is insane cause, even if I prefer some courses to others, I don’t think they’ve made a truly bad course yet. Mighty Coconut has way too much power over my wallet right now.
The only theme I could maybe think of is damsel in distress (chikorita had disarming voice in the trailer, so maybe meganium gets to be grass fairy?), knight in shining armor for emboar, and dragon for feraligatr. It would work with the thief mage warrior deal the original kalos starters had.
GamesBeat: Did you face any personal challenges handing some of the biggest developers over for others to deal with? And then you went to focus on the smallest game companies. Yoshida: Moving from first-party to indies? Well, I had no choice. When Jim asked me to do the indie job, the choice was to do that or leave the company. But I felt very strongly about the state of PlayStation and indies. I really wanted to do this. I believed I could do something unique for that purpose. That was the bigger change for me personally, moving from first-party to indies, than leaving the company this year. I’m very lucky that the indie community, the publishers and developers I work closely with–they believed that they could use my help. I became an adviser for some of these companies. I’m continuing to work with some of the indie publishers and developers I respect. The transition out of Sony to becoming an independent adviser is less of a change than moving out of first-party.
Seems like with every passing day I learn something new to hate about Jim Ryan. venturebeat.com/business/shu...
