Similar, but was at the Optometrist. They spent the next 30 minutes trying to sound interested by talking about astrology signs and then asked if I make astrology charts. I told them I know about the stars in the constellations but that I do not believe in astrology. Their flabbers were ghasted!🤣

I wanted the SW30 Pro but I am a poor winch who lives off a meager existence, so this fit my immediate budget.
This is the S50, I bought it used from a fellow astro friend at JGAP. I wanted the 30 but this will do until I can save the money. Then I will either resell to another budding astronomer for a damn good deal or... donate it to a local kid in my astronomy club who will make excellent use of it.
So, I obtained a Seestar telescope last night and took my first batch of stacked pictures with it while we had a break in the stars.
Here is the Pinwheel Galaxy Messier 101 located in Ursa Major. This is about... 60 pics stacked, we had clouds rolling through but so far, I am tickled pink.

Make sure the kiddo plans his trips out in advance and knows where gas exits will be located. Tell him to stop every chance he gets, some areas go for a long time between stops. Get to one on 1/4 tank and it has no gas for another 100 miles... trouble's afoot.
