Thing is, Home Secretary, if you tell people like me to fuck right off, who supported the Labour Party precisely because it has historically been an anti-racist party (amongst other principles you have also jettisoned), we might just do that. And I don't think Labour can afford to lose our votes.

At least if it was during Tory rule, the CoS is too tainted for anyone to care now.

Incident at Horseshoe Bay BC Ferries

A man with a knife seemed to be threatening himself up on the lifeboat deck.

He was on the Naimo ferry that arrived at Horseshoe bay.

All ferries blocked while this incident continues

I'm afraid he's still there on the lifeboat deck with a knife.

The coffee shop owner who insisted they'd talked him down clearly has defective binoculars

They have talked the guy down off the ship, but allowing all the day trippers to disembark Bowen ferry.
Not clear when either docked ferry will move.

Fascinating approach - best description of how/why we may have "free will" in a deterministic universe I have ever read

Free will as a process.

Once upon a time there was a ruler who made a bad decision.

All the courtiers and servants knew it was a bad decision, but they put into effect the bad decision, for the ruler had already made and proclaimed the decision.

And when it turned out to be a very bad decision indeed, those courtiers and servants were sacked by the now “furious” ruler.

My wife & I had a woman Vietnamese guide when we visited. She joked: 'ah you brought your *sister* All the western men are looking for brides '

She'd actually gone to Australia with a white Australian man who wanted to marry her, but she tried out the lifestyle & decided 'No thanks' and came home.

Beautiful & peaceful.
They have free health care and meds. If you have a baby its free. Nurse visits if wanted plus a year paid leave .
Excellent schools (free- with healthy, delicious food.)

A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.

In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."

Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!

2/Congress can get rid of the Emergency Docket with a stroke of the pen, and it probably could be a bipartisan effort. Under the Constitution, Congress can enumerate a regulation that controls the Court.
