Well done Mr G! He deserves a rest 😍
An ad for the book The Rebels Guide by author Shan L Scott. There is the picture of the book on a rustic background. The text reads, if you could go back snd change one thing... what would it be? With the title of the book and the authors website.

Without stating your age, post your favourite film released the year you turned 18.

I didn't know this and its incredibly interesting! Thank you for sharing Shazzoir, I love learning new things 😍 crabs are cool critters, my two favourite crabs are the coconut crab and the horseshoe crab. I think they are both fascinating!
'Pensando en la inmortalidad del cangrejo' is a Spanish-language phrase used to describe the act of day-dreaming.
While crabs are, to our knowledge, not immortal, there are many species of extremely long-lived crabs; Giant Japanese Spider Crabs & Brown Crabs don't have what we call ‘a terminal moult’ & so could (theoretically) continue growing forever.

You wouldn’t fill a wine cellar with the empty bottles of wines you’d already enjoyed; similarly, bookshelves shouldn’t consist solely of #books you’ve already read. It’s important to have a good selection of new reads for every occasion.
Don't be afraid to put in the hard work, it pays off in the end.
I don't claim to be the best in my field, but I love learning about writing every day, understanding where I need to improve & working on it. I've learned that if you don't invest in yourself, your art & accept valid critique, your progress will be slow and arduous.
Nothing comes for free in the art world, there is always some kind of expense and if you want to be the best at what you do, you need to put your best foot forward. It doesn't mean it has to cost a fortune, but the audience can tell where you've cut corners.
Even if you're traditionally published, those costs are deducted in the form of a percentage of your royalties from your publisher. There's also time spent, in thousands of hours of drafting, updating your skillset, studying and putting in all the hard work it takes to get better at what you do.
At some point, as an artist of any kind, you need to invest in your craft. Whether it be new guitar strings, or reeds for a musician, paints for an artist, software for animators, etc. For an author it's spent on software, editors, cover art, websites & everything associated with publishing.
'Round The Twist', a 1990s Australian TV series based on Paul Jennings short stories was, in my humble opinion, the peak of television during my teen years. The theme song is still a vibe 😍

I hate it when I get to the bottom of my latte and there's a bunch of coffee grounds, I wanted to complain to the barista... but the barista was me and honestly I'd just woken up and it's the weekend so I'll cut myself some slack 🙃

This was the first book I read that terrified me. I think I was in my early teens. Magnificent storytelling by a master.
I see a lot of folks upset about the Draft2Digital fees and charges being implemented, but I'm actually really happy about it. I hope it discourages the mass uploading of spam books, as D2D put it, and makes the platform more of a 'human made book repository' again. Kudos D2D!

As we step into today, may we choose to be shelter for one another—steady, warm, and present. When someone is weathering their storm, let our hearts be the umbrellas that offer calm instead of commentary. Who will you gently cover today? #Jaye’sMorningLight
Ben van Kerkwyk always has an interesting perspective on Ancient History. Highly recommend giving his videos a watch.

I don't have any plans at the moment, just going to mosey around I think and be spontaneous with whatever activity strikes me in the moment 😍
Good for you! One of these day's I might follow in your footsteps. I think the main reason I keep the telly is because I enjoy learning and there's more opportunity to see independent human experience and perspective on YouTube than on other platforms. I like the music app that comes with it too :)
A friend was horrified just now when I told them I don't have any streaming subscriptions, only YT. The truth is I just don't have time to watch anything much. And honestly, I don't miss it. I have shelves stacked full of books and DVDs that need reading and watching. That'll do me for now 😁
It's the weekend 🥰 woooooo!
Oh I love this! You can't go wrong with books like these. I'd love to check out the Australian Folklore one myself! Enjoy your bookly treasures 🥰
My goodness there are some lovely people in the world 😍
I had a dream last night that I had a tiny Weber-Q, and everywhere I went in my dream I was trying to set up my Weber to cook food for people.

My website stats say there are folks from many different countries visiting it, but I wonder how many of them are using a VPN and I really have no idea where my readers are from 😂 still eternally grateful to see the traffic! Thanks lovely peoples!
