Employers already have the ability to track these metrics. It's not uncommon to use the info in evaluating productivity and/or to verify whether someone is working when they say they are. The issue here seems to be that employees are being USED w/ or w/o consent to train AI that will replace them.

YES! As a lifelong HR leader, it's assumed that I'd be more anti than pro union. Absolutely the opposite for me. Union / Management is a valuable partnership for any organization. Unions are needed more than ever in all professions.

Employers already have the ability to track in these ways. Ask your manager or IT, they'll tell you. The point seems to be that existing workers are being USED to train AI that will replace them & don't have a choice. This will make more RIFs possible & managers won't have to backfill every vacancy.
