No problem, bro.

Apparently there was going to be a NES Blaster Master version for Vs/Playchoice-10 arcade board. Levels were linear & shorter, and a map is shown before each stage.

Here it is at normal speed (to my surprise it looks like no one had uploaded this to YouTube in the 21 years since this game came out, so I just did) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke3a...
GameCube has a little known Network Configuration screen accessible via exactly one Japan-only game (Homeland, my beloved). Like the GC's main menu music, it sounds like it might be a slowed down version of some other tune, so here it is at 16x. Not ringing any bells for me, can anyone identify it?
Both JP builds of Rage Racer have a cheesy narration in the intro that got cut in the exports.
Those ship landing levels were soooo hard :P

I've had to mute accounts here from people and sites I like purely because holy fuck they make like 50 reposts one after the other every single day!

Windows.
I just love it when I accidentally press a combination of keys on the keyboard and a menu or functionality I've never seen before pops up. I quickly close it down, and then I'm never able to recreate it ever again no matter what I consciously press.
Reminds me of The Witcher 3 that taught you about Alchemy during the tutorial, even though you can't use Alchemy until much later in the game.
Thanks to Jeff Nussbaum, all the maps for Samurai Shodown RPG have been posted over at VGMaps.com. Go check them out!

Samurai Shodown RPG really does have amazing top-notch pixel art.
LEGEND OF DRAGOON - last night I finished mapping the whole game after years-long hiatus! lots of cool late-game areas here, and some classic PS1 teleport mazes. they aren't up on DA or VGMaps yet, but check 'em out here if you want! drive.google.com/drive/folder...
a message on a rock wall in a first person duke nukem 3d environment: dopefish lives. the player is kicking.
duke nukem 3d, easter egg, dos (1996) 'dopefish was a character that appeared in commander keen, episode IV in 1991. duke nukem 3d has one single dopefish reference, a hidden message deep in level 5 (the abyss) of the shareware episode.' www.dopefish.com/fishinfo.html
Does the cat have a sister named Sandalia and a crazy cousin named Calizo?
Not sure if these will be integrated into the main snes9x fork in the future, but in the meantime, you can get this improved version here:
github.com/shanytc/snes...
(All config files and save files are compatible between snes9x & supersnes9x versions)
(3/3)
There's now a robust sprite/title viewer. The cheat search and editor now have right click functionality and batch functions. You can also assign both a controller and keyboard to the same input. There's also support for retroachievements.

If you still use snes9x, there's a new fork called SuperSNES9x from @shanytc.bsky.social which has added a lot of QoL improvements good for rom hackers, code hackers, sprite rippers, etc.

Do you have a link to that specific font in the image? I googled "HanWang GuinMedium-Gb5" but all the results I'm getting don't have those fadeouts in the font.
For over a decade I've been wondering what this freaking font is, because I kept constantly seeing it in Japanese gaming media from the 80s and 90s. It wasn't until in recent years when I discovered that the font is called Tankoin AL-KL (淡古印 AL-KL) and it was made by Shaken (写研) in 1979.
Thanks for letting me know. Can't wait to buy the Switch version.
I know you got no say in it, but I would love if Shadowgate 1 could also come to Switch, maybe as part of a collection?
@grahfmetal.bsky.social hey there. Do you know what happened to Beyond Shadowgate's writer Christian Moseley? He used to keep us updated related to the Switch version of BS and Uninvited 2, but his bsky and twitter account (Chrisaegrim) were deleted some time ago. Is he okay?
