I didn’t say he couldn’t do anything he wants. The fact that he could legally through congress but isolated choosing to do it otherwise is telling. His policies aren’t popular and congresspeople could not afford to go along with them. But the results of the election mean he does not have a mandate.

Again, I don’t disagree but I don’t see winning with one of the slimmest margins ever and less than 50% as providing a mandate.

I’m not arguing that. My point is he’s not that popular and he certainly doesn’t have a mandate.

This is why I don’t understand Elons stance on declining birth rates. The way to address that is to address the things people need to feel comfortable having kids - m/paternity leave, a living wage, paid sick leave, health care, and daycare and education for the kids.
