There was also the Super Powers: Galactic Guardians cartoon, which got Darkseid and other Fourth World characters on Saturday morning TV and IIRC got some toy versions.

I know you've mentioned Midnight Diner as the exception, which I did not know was a manga. I'd probably buy it if it was available.
I've probably watched Japanese series in the past that were based on manga that I didn't know about, especially more slice-of-life stuff.
