This is the sickest thing I've ever seen and that's not an exaggeration

The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

When playing certain games, you gotta ask yourself

Am I enjoying this or am I making ice cubes?

You deserve better than ice cubes.

ok #gameaudio people of the PNW, I have an ask of you.

Our Sonic Landscape is coming up and I'm looking to spread the word. I would greatly appreciate if you would share this news with another audio person to let them know about it. especially if they aren't on this site.

I can't imagine how much it takes to direct, write, design, compose, and everything else you do, for such a large team and with the pressure of what feels like the entire internet watching.
You definitely deserve a vacation.

Sometimes I can't help but think indies need higher standards for testing, gameplay, performance, and writing. But I do realize just how hard making a game is, especially with a budget.

Rust has this sort of thing, too. I suppose there's no escaping OS special-casing

My one track I helped make for Pokemon Reborn (uploaded on my YouTube channel) has more views than...a lot of things. I didn't even know that many people played fangames.

When I FIRST heard the theme song I immediately clocked that chord progression during the role call haha

Haha, it was for me. One of the cheapest ones on the market and my brother told me how to install some distro with XFCE on it. And I played a LOT of Morrowind via OpenMW. Many years later, and I'm the one daily driving Linux and hinting at him to switch XD

Thinking about animation systems scares me
Like how do they even work, how could you even make that easy to work with

Yes!! (I've been manually recompiling it this entire time and making the same mistakes every time)

So it's just a PC? At least Valve isn't being coy about that fact. But no doubt Microsoft will have arbitrary restrictions in place to prevent it from being a "personal" computer. Uh - more so than Windows, even.

This reminds me, I once went to the LA Natural History Museum and saw a very cute but anatomically correct bee plushie from an "eco friendly" sort of company in the gift shop. But I passed up on the opportunity to buy it, and I regretted it ever since. If anyone might know...

This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes.
These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals.
Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

PANEL 1: An alligator resting its hand on a wheatpaste poster. ALLIGATOR: "I love that some albums still get posters plastered up around the city."
PANEL 2: The alligator reading a tabloid newspaper. ALLIGATOR: "I love to still encounter a print alt-weekly, a record store, a parks department softball game, a bar whose sign is just a plastic Old Style logo, a specialty store, a phone book, a storefront theater, a repair shop."
PANEL 3: The alligator crawling along on the sidewalk. ALLIGATOR: "All the signs that, as Frank O'Hara once said, "People do not totally _regret_ life."
PANEL 4: The alligator eating a slice of cherry pie in a diner. ALLIGATOR: "Blessed be the website that still maintains an RSS feed. Blessed be the cassette label, the zine, the house show, the 24-hour Greek diner that still keeps dragging itself into a future across merciless concrete."
PANEL 5: The alligator now drinking coffee after finishing the pie. ALLIGATOR: "I got too sincere there, wrote half a dozen final panels and am now giving up. Such is the lovely inefficiency of life."

I love all genders🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
Because I have no gender.
Especially right now, transgender people are living with a lot of anxiety.

Why are transgender people not allowed to freely love the people they want to love?
Why can't transgender individuals live their lives with the soul they prefer?

LMAO looks like Bluesky heard my complaints about the "share" icon (/facetious)

Bluesky designers, how the heck is this supposed to symbolize sharing something? What is this depicting? I can only think of "up"loading. I without fail try to use the three dots to get the shareable link before realizing my buffoonery. But maybe it is not I that is the buffoon.
