Here's a translator who came up with a rather neat solution in the 2021 comedy Stuck Together (8 Rue de l'Humanité):
- Bon, vous avez un peu levé le pied sur l’alcool quand même ?
- Well, have you at least cut back on those drinks ?
- Non, j’ai levé le coude.
- No, I toss them back.

As a medical translator, I invest a lot of time educating myself to stay abreast of the latest breakthroughs.
Occasionally, though, I like to look into the past and see how far we have come.
Check out this fascinating exhibition 🙂

Had a great time with my daughter at "Genetics Matters" in Newcastle, part of Rare Disease Day, an annual initiative that aims to raise awareness for rare diseases and improve access to treatment and recognition for patients.
