“But when you warn of these horrors, it sounds outlandish. People won’t believe you. If you insist, you’ll be dismissed as hysterical. Despite knowing the future, you won’t be able to prevent it.”

Spc. Sarah Beckstrom laid to rest with full military honors at W.Va. National Cemetery Spc. Sarah Beckstrom was laid to rest with full military honors Tuesday in Grafton.

Yesterday, Spc Sarah Becstrom was laid to rest in West Virginia at a VA National Cemetery.
Surprisingly none of the major major news media mention it. No flags were lower to half staff.
Well the Convicted FElon keeps the news focus on him.

Imagine what it does to morale in the military to see the defense secretary hang an admiral out to dry to avoid responsibility for war crimes.

Navy Seal pardoned of war crimes by Trump described by colleagues as 'freaking evil' Eddie Gallagher ‘OK with killing anything that moved’, Iraq veterans told investigators in testimony obtained by New York Times

To understand Hegseth’s announcement of impunity for misconduct, you must understand that Eddie Gallagher is the model. This is what he means by “warrior ethos.” Trump may have even selected Hegseth because of his similar appearance to Gallagher.

Remember?

Now I see why they wanted to rebrand to the Department of War. No one calls them 'defense crimes'

Theres something reallllly irritating about online companies offering menial discounts in exchange for double the data (emails and then immediately requiring your # for text ads)— for 5-10% off inflated critical goods.

In a time of insane wealth gauging and racist digital surveillance 🤢

From Mission Impossible to Mister Mayor If Zohran Mamdani governs as he campaigned, he will prove that the people have the power to shape their own future.

Zohran Mamdani, the next mayor of New York City, has a vision that can renew a Democratic Party that’s been fecklessly resistant to change and to the big ideas that will inspire voters, write Katrina vanden Heuvel and @nicholsuprising.bsky.social. www.thenation.com/article/soci...

Did U.S. Cover Up Shireen Abu Akleh Killing? Whistleblower Speaks Out A retired U.S. colonel who investigated the death of Palestinian American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh has gone public to accuse the Biden administration of “inaction” and a possible “cover-up.” Steve...

A report into the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh was watered down by the Biden administration, says one of the U.S. investigators, in service of "not trying to anger the Israelis by holding them accountable for intentionally killing an American citizen."

Organized civil disobedience by those ordered to carry out the abuses as well as the civilians expected to ignore it is vital within the next 2-3 months.

It's exceedingly clear elected "representative" bodies at the national & local levels of the United States are both ill equipped and (writ large) unwilling to intervene on the widespread and long forewarned abuses of the U.S. federal government under a highly criminal ultra-national administration.

The more I reflect & look around, the more it's obvious the same elitist, comfort class forces within nonprofit, philanthropic, electoral, and private sectors not only quelled revolutionary leadership, but power struggled to remain at the helm of major orgs & institutions continually failing us all

Even worse, during this time peak DEI tokenization by that same supremacist comfort class attempted to appease communities most under threat by offering access, surface-level friendship, and professional positionality that created allures of progress and unity while ignoring power imbalances...

Within the 1st year of 45's admin, those closest to the pain & most vulnerable had a strong pulse and alarm for what was happening and what could be.

Openly warning as much was met with ridicule, disdain, outcasting & minimization of those already marginalized voices by the comfort class.

PENTAGON PRESS ASSOCIATION
STATEMENT
Today, the Defense Department confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America. It did this because reporters would not sign onto a new media policy over its implicit threat of criminalizing national security reporting and exposing those who sign it to potential prosecution.
The Pentagon Press Association's members are still committed to reporting on the U.S. military. But make no mistake, today, Oct. 15, 2025 is a dark day for press freedom that raises concerns about a weakening U.S. commitment to transparency in governance, to public accountability at the Pentagon and to free speech for all.

This administration is flooding the zone so furiously that people have largely lost track of the lethal attacks on boats in the Caribbean, the gov’t shutdown, the economy, failed release of the Epstein files & so much else. It’s a tactic of would-be strongmen.

The conversation between Klein and Coates showed me that a lot of people who screech about “infighting” on the left aren’t aware of the fact that marginalized people have been forced to learn how to regulate their emotions during conflict, and so, are better able to hear what’s actually being said.

"Community organizing is both a science and an art — a science because it is grounded in a systematic understanding of power and oppression, an art because it demands creativity, empathy, and adaptability in order to build relationships and trust." - James Forman

After a major and long season of intentional isolation and silence, I got back on a group zoom for the first time in a very long time today. I rejoined a practice I've long grappled with to hone and feel so grateful for the growth that has allowed me to be an enthusiastic beginner again.
