It's settled then! I'll take the role in the play. And I can wear nude colored pasties if the nudity becomes a problem, but I don't think it will be. This is such an exciting opportunity! I immediately call and accept the role! I can't wait to start rehearsing for the play!
The scene was also dimly lit, so much so that several of the actresses could get away with wearing skin colored pasties because the audience wouldn't notice. All of the guys encourage me to go for it and take the role in the play:
His teammate Albert mentions how his girlfriend was in a play once that required her and some of the other actresses to be briefly topless.
The audience won't see much, not only because it is dimly lit, but because my nude male costar will be climbing into the bed on the side facing the audience. But it will be obvious that I am topless when he climbs into the bed. Other team members enter the shower and listen with interest:
I explain to him, that yes, there is a scene -- a dimly lit scene -- where I will have to be topless, but I get to cover up quickly with a bed sheet.
Ah there he is! I say hi to his teammate Bill, who is also in the shower, and then start talking about the role I landed in the play. He is excited to hear I landed the lead role! We are both excited! But then he pause, and asks with concern, "Doesn't the lead role require you to be naked on stage?"
I see his teammate Joe and Joe starts talking to me about how great their practice went. That's good to hear Joe, but I'm kind of have a serious time constraint here. Joe tells me to check the showers:
He and his teammates just finished practice, so they just went into the locker room. I rush inside:
However, I only have one hour to accept the role. Otherwise they will have to go with their backup choice. It's a huge opportunity. I need to go talk to my boyfriend about this right now!
THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT
The drama department at my university is putting on a play. I was nervous at the audition, but I think I did well. I answer my phone, and I didn't get the part I thought I would. Instead, I got the lead role! This is amazing!
